Worin besteht das individuelle und allgemeingultige „Wissen“ uber „die Anderen“, „Fremde“ und „di... more Worin besteht das individuelle und allgemeingultige „Wissen“ uber „die Anderen“, „Fremde“ und „die MigrantInnen“ innerhalb majorisierter Teile der osterreichischen Gesellschaft und welche differenzerzeugenden Strategien stehen dahinter? Wie wird dieses Wissen im Rahmen von Speech Communities mitgeteilt und argumentiert und welche Funktionen nimmt dieses Wissen fur die Konstituierung von Einzelpersonen und Gruppen ein? Dieser Frage und den Hypothesen zu den Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschieden verschiedener rassistischer Haltungen und Kommunikationsstrategien in der osterreichischen Mehrheitsgesellschaft entlang von zwei als „rassistisch“ und einem als „antirassistisch“ wahrgenommenen Beziehungsnetz(en) widmet sich die vorliegende Forschung. Die empirischen Daten fur die Dissertation wurden mittels teilnehmender Beobachtung und episodischer Interviews in den Jahren 2006 bis 2009 generiert. Uber thematisches Kodieren und eine weiterfuhrende Analyse ausgewahlter Sequenzen der Interviews mithilfe der kritischen Diskursanalyse wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie sich die aus der Feldforschung entwickelten dominanten Diskurse uber „die anderen“ in den befragten etabliert-majorisierten Netzwerken vollziehen und wie das Herstellen von Differenz anhand dieser Diskursstrange legitimiert wird. Die Forschung versucht zentrale Legitimationsstrategien fur das Herstellen von Differenz aus den Diskursstrangen zu entwickeln und herauszuarbeiten, wie Akteure und Akteurinnen mit Differenzdiskursen wirklich umgehen, denn Menschen verhandeln Diskurse in entsprechenden Kontexten, in lokalen Rahmen bzw. in ihren jeweiligen Speech Communities, unterschiedlich. Als grundsatzlicher Rahmen wurde fur die Analyse von Rassismus in Gruppen das flexible und offene Modell der Speech Communities (Morgan 2004) gewahlt. Durch dieses Konzept soll verdeutlicht werden, wie in rassistischen und antirassistischen Gruppen ahnliche oder unterschiedliche Strategien angewendet werden, um sich in der jeweiligen Gruppe zu positionieren. Einzelpersonen nehmen dabei je nach Kontext und Umfeld und vor allem je nach Speech Community verschiedene Positionen ein. Dies betrifft sowohl Zweifel im Rahmen des Antirassismus als auch Zweifel an rassistischen Haltungen. Die Dissertation soll Veranderungen in der Gesellschaft uber die Wahrnehmung „der Anderen“ anhand von rassistischen und anti-rassistischen Kommunikationsstrategien erarbeiten. Anhand von in Osterreich politisch und medial relevanten Schlagworten wie „Meinungsfreiheit“ oder „Political Correctness“ wird der Widerstand gegen Sprachverbote und der Versuch einer Sprachregelung analysiert, denn so viel wurde bereits deutlich, in allen drei Netzwerken spielt das Ausverhandeln „der adaquaten Ausdrucksweise“ im Kontext von Rassismus, Kultur und Migration eine zentrale Rolle. Die Arbeit reiht sich in die wenigen anthropologischen Forschungen zu den AkteurInnen des Rassismus in der osterreichischen Mehrheitsgesellschaft ein und diskutiert die Gegensatzlichkeit und teilweise Unuberbruckbarkeit von Grenzen zwischen Gruppen mit einerseits dem Fokus auf die Anerkennung der Pluralitat der Gesellschaft versus Gruppen in denen diskursive Schliesungen und Debatten uber Separationen und Essentialismen dominieren.
