This study was carried out with a view to ascertaining the predictive strength of childhood maltreatment on students' achievement. Three research questions were raised in the study. The population of the senior secondary school students in Awka Educational Zone as at the end of the second term of 2012/2013 session are 93,768. Multi stage sampling technique was employed in selecting 702 senior secondary II (SSII) students from Awka Education Zone. A questionnaire tagged "Adolescent Maltreatment Determinant Questionnaire" was used in collecting information from the students in the areas of neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse and verbal abuse. The students' continuous assessment scores in two terms were collected as the students' academic achievement. Pearson Product Moment Coefficient and Multiple Regression Coefficient were used in analysing the data. The result shows that childhood maltreatment significantly predicted the students' achievement. Parents were advised to adequately provide for their adolescent needs among other recommendations.
