Archaeologist, graduated with honors from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Peru, 199... more Archaeologist, graduated with honors from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Peru, 1998) and Ph.D. from the University College London (England, 2008). Lecturer of the undergraduate program of the Archaeology Department, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He has conducted several research projects about the Inca Empire and Landscape Archaeology in the North and Central Andes of Peru. He has presented his work at a variety of national and international academic meetings, editing some books (El concepto de lo sagrado en el mundo andino antiguo: espacios y elementos pan-regionales, 2017; Historia de la Arqueología en el Perú del siglo XX, 2013). He has published on a wide range of subjects, focusing on: the Inca occupation of the Highlands of Piura; the explorer Alexander von Humboldt; the life and career of Julio C. Tello; the Andean deity Apu Pariacaca; and the Early Colonial Period at San Miguel de Piura. He has received honors and awards for his academic trajectory, such as the Global Challenges Research Fund Networking Grant Scheme (Academy of Medical Sciences, 2018), José Mejía Lequerica Award (Concejo Metropolitano de Quito, 2017), International Partnership and Mobility (British Academy, 2016), Post- Graduate Fellowship (Ford Foundation, 2004-2006) and the National Award for the Social Sciences 2005 (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, 2005).
