To accomplish this, a safety management system has been developed with the main task of managing safety, including organizational structures, accountability, procedures, and policies. This paper will analyze the events that affect air traffic safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and from statistical analysis, will give an insight into the nature of the safety system. Based on the given research, this paper will propose measures that would significantly improve the safety management system by optimizing the safety performance activities of all subjects in terms of safety regulation and safety culture. Ultimately, the result would be a more efficient system that would increase the number of operations with a very high degree of safety.

Research methods included traffic noise level measurements with a noise measuring device in an urban area, using a sampling method in different periods. An evaluation of the measured data and prediction results was performed. Based on the predicted values of the C.R.T.N. model and coefficient of determination (R2), multi-linear regression was carried out to determine statistically significant parameters. The obtained multi-linear regression equation defined a new form of C.R.T.N. model. When applying the new improved version based on the C.R.T.N. model, higher accuracy of prediction is achievable. It can be seen that by applying multi-linear regression, the obtained prediction values are acceptably equated with field measurements in the chosen research environment. So, in this w...

The purpose of the innovative approach to the education program is to educate undergraduate and graduate students in the field of traffic safety, in accordance with the needs of society, which should provide an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach to safety of all road users, technical solutions and social response to traffic accidents. Traffic safety problems are complex problems, which is why the competencies and skills acquired by engineers should provide knowledge and a deeper understanding of risk while strengthening the applied and practical skills. Innovative study programs must have a common basis for all directions, with a deep knowledge of mathematics, physics and mechanics with an emphasis on a holisti...

A dangerous place on the road can be defined as a place with high risk. Managing black spots (dangerous places) includes their definition and identification, analysis of traffic accidents and risk factors on black spots (dangerous places), proposing and implementing measures on specific black spots (dangerous places) and evaluation measures. This paper presents the issues, experiences and international practice of black spots management methodologies, and a special aspect of the applied methodologies and international experiences of implemented activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This paper also presents a framework model and methodology for managing dangerous places in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a particular aspect of the basic safety parameters on dangerous locations, as well as evaluating the justification for applying adequate...

The social and economic losses resulting from traffic accidents in the Federation were calculated using the gross output method or methods of human capital - a recognized methodology that is used in many countries. These are the estimated costs of administration; medical expenses, property damage and lost output/productivity of the killed or injured, and they include compensations for pain, grief and suffering. Given the current gross domestic product (GDP) in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FB&H) (KM 14,161,972,692.00 in 2010), the total costs of road traffic accidents in the FB&H (823.80 million KM (421.00 million EUR)) represent an average of 5.8% to GDP in 2010.

Legislative regulations and rules clearly define the basic criteria in the stages of planning, design and construction of bus stops. However, given the complexity of the traffic, the needs of road users, and the impact of the immediate surroundings of the road, bus stops are often treated in inadequate way in certain previously defined stages. Inadequate treatment leads to failures which are noticeable after their construction, and in the process of their exploitation. For many reasons, the failures in the design are mainly related to an increase in risk and threats to the security of direct traffic participants, and manifest themselves through conflict situations and traffic accidents. The paper describes the examples of inadequate approach to the treatment of bus stops from the aspect of traffic safety, and provides recommendations and proposals of mea...

Women's daily trips are very different from those made by men. These factors make a woman more vulnerable, as standard public transport companies do not consider these characteristics enough. The safe public transport option also helps increase the number of women in economic activities. The way of traveling determines the type of work or shift that the woman will accept. Mobility provides women with financial strength and independence, and currently access to safe public transport, both in Sarajevo Canton and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it can be said that it is not at a satisfactory level in the region, so urgent actions need to be taken. The concept for the implementation of gender equality within the Erasmus + TRAFSAF project, modeled on EU projects, is that all project partners, both those coming from the segment of hig...
