Antonia Sarri
Antonia Sarri is Assistant Professor of Greek Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Before that, she was Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Manchester, Department of Classics, Ancient History, Archaeology and Egyptology (AHRC "Ancient Letter Collections"), co-authoring with Professors R. Gibson and A.D. Morrison two monographs (forthcoming), and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Institute for Papyrology (SFB 933 “Materiale Textkulturen”), authoring the monograph "Material Aspects of Letter Writing in the Graeco-Roman World" and participating in the edition of the "Sammelbuch Griechischen Urkunden aus Ägypten, Band 28".
She has taught at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of Manchester, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and University College London.
She holds a PhD in Papyrology and an MA in Classics from University College London, and a first class honours degree in Classical Philology from the University of Athens.
She is interested in Papyrology, Palaeography, Epistolography, Ancient and Medieval Manuscripts, Textual Criticism, Transmission and Reception of Classical Greek Texts, especially of Xenophon, Plato and Ancient Epistolary Collections.
