La sociedad contemporánea ha cambiado en la praxis sus hábitos de informarse, ergo de crear reali... more La sociedad contemporánea ha cambiado en la praxis sus hábitos de informarse, ergo de crear realidades e institucionalizarlas. Ese hábito de consumo mediático, que otrora estaba dominado monopólicamente por los medios de comunicación de masas en una relación eminentemente unidireccional se encuentra en estado terminal, incluso en países en vías de desarrollo. Así ha surgido la «mediamorfosis», un proceso de cambio holístico no solo de plataformas, sino de las propias relaciones intersubjetivas, de la manera en cómo nos informamos, socializamos las realidades e incluso creamos contenidos en un afán de prosumo, en el que el consumidor informativo se convierte a su vez en un decodificador, recodificador y emisor de realidades. La ilación entre instituciones –en su concepción más amplia– y la sociedad, nunca había estado tan relacionada como en la actualidad. Si bien los medios de comunicación masivos hace dos lustros servían como gatekeepers de la realidad social difundida, ecosistema el cual obligaba a las organizaciones a realizar acciones puntuales en sus esfuerzos para atraer la atención de los medios; hoy las instituciones deben realizar estrategias continuas y gestionar las propias dificultades de una comunicación no intermediada, inmediata y directa con sus públicos objetivos, con todo lo que ello implica en relación a la atención ciudadana, la sobre-exposición y en definitiva, una mayor tendencia a situaciones de crisis. La presente obra capitular colectiva busca presentar, de la mano de autores del espacio iberoamericano, una visión holística de la comunicación institucional a la luz del cambio social, haciendo especial énfasis en los factores relacionales de la comunicación estratégica en el dinámico contexto actual. En este sentido, el primer capítulo presenta un análisis de la comunicación institucional como factor-generador de cambio social, en el que se hace un recorrido sobre el estado de la cuestión de la comunicación para el desarrollo, tomando en cuenta sus ejes transversales y las principales directrices emanadas por organismos internacionales para el diseño de estrategias para la democracia, la educación en medios y el tercer sector. Siguiendo con los planteamientos teóricos de la comunicación y el cambio social, el segundo capítulo nos presenta un recorrido sobre el factor cultural de las sociedades y su incidencia en los valores y activos intangibles de las organizaciones; entendidas éstas lógicamente como entes sociales, reflejo conductual y normativo que conduce la vida de las instituciones en las que se inserta. De esta manera, se comprende que las instituciones deben evaluarse también a través de la antropología de la organización, con dinámicas culturales dialógicas –ambientales y organizacionales– que inciden en sus outputs como el clima laboral, los valores organizacionales y por supuesto, en su comunicación y relaciones con sus stakeholders. Por supuesto, el diálogo entre instituciones y sus públicos objetivos también ha variado, no solo en lo que respecta a los medios por los cuales interactúan, sino también por las formas de relacionamiento, en el que aspectos como la confianza, la reputación, los comportamientos y las acciones son claves determinantes para el cumplimiento de los objetivos de las instituciones. En este sentido, el tercer capítulo de esta obra revisa con detenimiento todos los factores que inciden directa e indirectamente en la percepción de las organizaciones, haciendo especial énfasis en un cambio fundamental en el nuevo contexto comunicacional: Las decisiones organizacionales ya no deben ser verticales descendentes desde la alta jerarquía de la organización hacia los públicos, sino que es necesario invertir la dinámica e involucrar a los públicos antes de fijar la propia estrategia institucional. En la misma línea, el cuarto capítulo hace un recorrido teórico actualizado sobre el rol estratégico de la comunicación institucional y organizacional, comprendiendo que las competencias, herramientas y habilidades de los comunicadores en la actualidad es meridianamente distinta a la que era necesaria hace menos de una década, pues las interacciones, los medios, las percepciones y comportamientos de los stakeholders son diametralmente distintos a la que la dinámica intermediada de los medios masivos podían ofrecer. Este capítulo además hace énfasis en la formación de los comunicadores y en cómo se han afrontado los cambios de estos roles profesionales desde el currículo universitario, con especial atención al caso colombiano y a las propuestas de revisión que ha realizado la Universidad de Medellín como impulsadora de estos cambios. El ecosistema comunicativo actual, imperado por la inmediatez, el ingente crecimiento de las relaciones sociales, los cambios en los hábitos de consumo informativo y la descentralización y heterogeneidad de contenidos propia de las conductas prosumidoras también se ha convertido en un aspecto fundamental a la hora de establecer políticas de comunicación institucional que atraigan y mantengan la atención en los mensajes. Así, el quinto capítulo de este texto revisa la sobresaturación informativa y la infoxicación para plantear estrategias y tácticas puntuales para hacer frente a estos fenómenos comunicativos, no sin antes repasar las limitaciones y deficiencias que surgen en la mayoría de las organizaciones a la hora de cambiar sus procesos de planeación estratégica de la comunicación. Pero el cambio social y tecnológico no solo ha transformado las maneras de cómo nos comunicamos y relacionamos, sino también la forma en que las sociedades son cada vez más exigentes con las administraciones y la res pública. La transparencia de las instituciones aparece como una necesidad urgente en una época de pérdida de confianza en la clase política, por lo que algunas organizaciones –en su mayoría de carácter público y competencia municipal– han puesto en funcionamiento portales de transparencia. Sobre esto versa el sexto capítulo de la presente obra colectiva, con una mirada crítica a la sobresaturación de datos e información que convierten a estos portales en imposibles de interpretar por la mayoría de los ciudadanos, sino por el contrario, han sido planteados más hacia cumplimiento de dimensiones e indicadores de los rankings nacionales e internacionales que a una comunicación efectiva, que es en definitiva, la finalidad de este tipo de estrategias de transparencia. Distanciándose de su consideración trivial y atendiendo a las propias necesidades organizacionales de motivar la interacción, el séptimo capítulo de esta obra colectiva trata la vinculación de los juegos –bajo estrategias de gamificación o ludificación– en la comunicación interna y externa de las organizaciones, partiendo de una exploración teórica pormenorizada de este tipo de metodologías que servirá a investigadores de la comunicación para plantear líneas de trabajo novedosas, hasta la revisión de casos de éxito en la implantación de este tipo de estrategias en organizaciones e instituciones de relevancia internacional. Hablar de desarrollo y cambio social a través de la comunicación no pudiera ser posible sin mirar hacia el tercer sector. Por esta razón, el octavo capítulo nos presenta las dificultades que han tenido las Organizaciones No Gubernamentales (ONG) a partir de la crisis económica mundial para poder financiar sus actividades de apoyo a colectivos en riesgo de exclusión social y de qué manera, a través de estrategias de comunicación y difusión innovadoras e interactivas que permite la red 2.0 y 3.0, algunas como UNICEF, Manos Unidas y Médicos Sin Fronteras han podido sortear las propias dificultades que vive el sector solidario en nuestra época. Por último, el noveno capítulo nos presenta un análisis reflexivo sobre el framing o encuadre informativo de los medios convencionales en casos de crisis, que permitirá a los lectores comprender el agenda-setting de los medios masivos y cómo configuran las realidades a partir del conflicto. Utilizando un análisis de contenido de base interpretativa, se explora la desinformación volitiva y la corta memoria residual de los elementos informativos dadas las características de inmediatez del actual ecosistema comunicativo. Los nueve capítulos que conforman esta obra colectiva y de autoría preminentemente iberoamericana analizan la comunicación institucional, corporativa y estratégica tanto desde el cambio social, comunicacional y relacional, como también propone que la comunicación sea un eje transversal en los procesos de desarrollo. El lector encontrará en este libro distintas ópticas de la realidad de la comunicación y recorridos teóricos y prácticos, que facilitará la discusión y la apertura de líneas de investigación e intervención novedosas.

Este trabalho tem por objetivo geral analisar o estatuto disciplinar da Comunicação no tocante a ... more Este trabalho tem por objetivo geral analisar o estatuto disciplinar da Comunicação no tocante a sua imbricação com os Estudos Culturais a partir da corrente nascida em Birmingham e, posteriormente, da perspectiva latino-americana. O fio condutor analítico deste artigo são as ementas do Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciências da Comunicação da Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos ofertadas entre os anos de 2009 e 2010. Metodologicamente, esta pesquisa realiza uma pesquisa bibliográfica e análise documental. A hipótese geral deste trabalho orienta-se pelo pressuposto de que a Comunicação, sendo uma disciplina que edifica seu estatuto disciplinar na transversalidade, recorre aos estudos da cultura para dar lastro a sua legitimação que se plasma por meio do cotejamento de sua institucionalização, aqui observado nas ementas sob análise.

O estudo da interculturalidade, principalmente naquelas organizacoes que estao se internacionalizando, exige a adocao de uma perspectiva sistemica, pois a analise da comunicacao intercultural precisa ir alem da simples comparacao entre culturas e do levantamento de semelhancas e diferencas. A presente reflexao faz parte de um estudo mais amplo que tem como escopo a analise do comportamento comunicacional de algumas organizacoes brasileiras no processo de internacionalizacao. Na primeira etapa, apresentamos um resgate da literatura especializada sobre a interculturalidade e seus elementos, a cultura organizacional e o processo de comunicacao com o objetivo principal de buscar pontos de interseccao entre os elementos que permeiam os contextos organizacionais.

Pero el cambio social y tecnológico no solo ha transformado las maneras de cómo nos comunicamos y relacionamos, sino también la forma en que las sociedades son cada vez más exigentes con las administraciones y la res pública. La transparencia de las instituciones aparece como una necesidad urgente en una época de pérdida de confianza en la clase política, por lo que algunas organizaciones –en su mayoría de carácter público y competencia municipal– han puesto en funcionamiento portales de transparencia. Distanciándose de su consideración trivial y atendiendo a las propias necesidades organizacionales de motivar la interacción, el séptimo capítulo de esta obra colectiva trata la vinculación de los juegos –bajo estrategias de gamificación o ludificación– en la comunicación interna y externa de las organizaciones, partiendo de una exploración teórica pormenorizada de este tipo de metodologías que servirá a investigadores de la comunicación para plantear líneas de trabajo novedosas, hasta la revisión de casos de éxito en la implantación de este tipo de estrategias en organizaciones e instituciones de relevancia internacional.

Por último, el noveno capítulo nos presenta un análisis reflexivo sobre el framing o encuadre informativo de los medios convencionales en casos de crisis, que permitirá a los lectores comprender el agenda-setting de los medios masivos y cómo configuran las realidades a partir del conflicto. Utilizando un análisis de contenido de base interpretativa, se explora la desinformación volitiva y la corta memoria residual de los elementos informativos dadas las características de inmediatez del actual ecosistema comunicativo.

Así ha surgido la «mediamorfosis», un proceso de cambio holístico no solo de plataformas, sino de las propias relaciones intersubjetivas, de la manera en cómo nos informamos, socializamos las realidades e incluso creamos contenidos en un afán de prosumo, en el que el consumidor informativo se convierte a su vez en un decodificador, recodificador y emisor de realidades.
La ilación entre instituciones –en su concepción más amplia– y la sociedad, nunca había estado tan relacionada como en la actualidad. Si bien los medios de comunicación masivos hace dos lustros servían como gatekeepers de la realidad social difundida, ecosistema el cual obligaba a las organizaciones a realizar acciones puntuales en sus esfuerzos para atraer la atención de los medios; hoy las instituciones deben realizar estrategias continuas y gestionar las propias dificultades de una comunicación no intermediada, inmediata y directa con sus públicos objetivos, con todo lo que ello implica en relación a la atención ciudadana, la sobre-exposición y en definitiva, una mayor tendencia a situaciones de crisis.
La presente obra capitular colectiva busca presentar, de la mano de autores del espacio iberoamericano, una visión holística de la comunicación institucional a la luz del cambio social, haciendo especial énfasis en los factores relacionales de la comunicación estratégica en el dinámico contexto actual. En este sentido, el primer capítulo presenta un análisis de la comunicación institucional como factor-generador de cambio social, en el que se hace un recorrido sobre el estado de la cuestión de la comunicación para el desarrollo, tomando en cuenta sus ejes transversales y las principales directrices emanadas por organismos internacionales para el diseño de estrategias para la democracia, la educación en medios y el tercer sector.
Siguiendo con los planteamientos teóricos de la comunicación y el cambio social, el segundo capítulo nos presenta un recorrido sobre el factor cultural de las sociedades y su incidencia en los valores y activos intangibles de las organizaciones; entendidas éstas lógicamente como entes sociales, reflejo conductual y normativo que conduce la vida de las instituciones en las que se inserta. De esta manera, se comprende que las instituciones deben evaluarse también a través de la antropología de la organización, con dinámicas culturales dialógicas –ambientales y organizacionales– que inciden en sus outputs como el clima laboral, los valores organizacionales y por supuesto, en su comunicación y relaciones con sus stakeholders.
Por supuesto, el diálogo entre instituciones y sus públicos objetivos también ha variado, no solo en lo que respecta a los medios por los cuales interactúan, sino también por las formas de relacionamiento, en el que aspectos como la confianza, la reputación, los comportamientos y las acciones son claves determinantes para el cumplimiento de los objetivos de las instituciones.
