The urban planner will work with new tools such as computational complexity, pure mathematics and sociology. The main questions arose from the analysis of examples of the use of algorithms and solutions arising from computing in architecture, but more with an aesthetic character and a form of optimization related to material savings, without many professionals in the area realizing that certain types of architectural solutions can be achieved from a more logical and efficient analysis.Inspired by “The Opportunity Atlas”, a public atlas of children's outcomes in adulthood by the Census area in which they grew up using anonymized longitudinal data covering nearly the entire U.S. population. Factored were estimated children's earnings distributions, incarceration rates, and other outcomes in adulthood by parental income, race, and gender (RAJ CHETTY et al. ,2018). The work that will be intended in this investigation will be about creating clusters of social, economic and cultural datasets of the intention is to address the new challenge for the sustainable and smart development of Schandalen-Grasbroek in Heerlen.

A good idea to try solve this problem is incentivize and generate urban farms in empty spaces, that will bring to people cheap, sustainable and organic options of food and will increase local business. With use of right algorithms, geoprocessing data and sensors, we could analyze for each part the city the best places to create these farms, to less water use, applying smart solutions to logistic of delivery the cultured food. This approach is about to propose a solution using studies and concepts about Internet of Things and Smart Cities to make urban farms more sustentables and efficients.

Business creative clusters that prioritize technological solutions, promote local innovation ecosystems, and structure technological parks are some alternatives for such cities to advance in the digital economies scenario. The planning of these territories should encourage mixed land uses, integrated with the city, with accessible public spaces preserving cultural heritage while providing the necessary urban infrastructures for the installation of innovative high-value-added businesses. Therefore, this study focuses on the case of the city of Ouro Preto, its innovation hub Vale dos Inconfidentes (Valin), and the Minero-Metalurgical Technological Park project. The research explored the spatial configuration of mobility in relation to the new innovation venture, analyzing how the current structure and connectivity of the components interfere with the park's feasibility. It is concluded that mobility is a fundamental issue for the project, and adjustments and model changes are essential for its survival.

The development of the algorithm follows known programming rules and structures written in a visual modeling and programming software, in addition to using the methods of stochastic search, shape grammar, CUG (geometric unit cost) and CUB (basic unit cost). As a result, it was possible to develop space layouts that resemble the rooms of a single-family home and calculate their possible construction cost. The use of the complete process also brings the discussion of the use of technologies and automated processes within current design practices, demonstrating how the use of these technologies can enhance the imagination and present compositions and quantitative results not envisioned by the designers.

Aiming to preserve the underlying logic responsible for generating these self-built settlements, a shape grammar was elaborated and implemented in a visual programming environment to test its efficiency in reproducing the compositional language of the villages. The method involved the historical context and constructive typologies analysis, which made it possible to extract the corresponding rules regarding the spatial configuration of the corpus. The result emerged as a descriptive grammar, which later was implemented in a parametric modeling environment, algorithms in C# were used to generate the compositions with the aid of computational strategies based on random numbers, stochastic research and object-oriented programming.
