Nazgol Bagheri
Trained as an architect, I am interested in working with residents, community activist, and artists to better understand the correlations among design, human behaviors, and cultural differences.
My current work connects three complementary areas: feminist politics, urban design and placemaking, and the social production of space. I use qualitative methods such as empowering and innovative geo- ethnography approach that often makes invisible visible. I am committed to challenge/enrich the Anglo-American hegemonic geographical theories through studying the people whose stories are often unheard including women, children, and ethnic/religious/sexual minorities.
