The rapid growth of computing technologies has made AIED (Artificial Intelligence in Education) applications more feasible to implement. AIED is the use of AI (artificial intelligence) technologies or application programmes to support instruction, learning, or decision-making in learning environments. By employing a qualitative methodology and a literature review as research design and methodology, the study effectively contributed to the achievement of its goal. The primary objectives of this study include improving efficiency and greater idea development in academic writing using AIED. To succeed in academic writing, scholars must develop AIED literacy, which includes application, reliability, accountability, and engagement. This research focuses on the challenges and future possibilities of communication-instructional perspectives on AIED, which ought to be widely implemented in academic writing and will result in substantial changes to education. As a result, the focus of this study is on recommendations for educators and academics to ensure the benefits of AI-assisted writing, as well as its possibilities and challenges. This study explores the various ways that artificial intelligence (AI) may be used in ESL classrooms to improve student experience and instructional efficiency, as well as to generate an idea for the application of AI to academic writing. By employing AIED in academic writing, the idea under consideration can divert time and energy used for teaching and learning. Critical thinking (CT) skills are an important component in effective English language teaching (... more Critical thinking (CT) skills are an important component in effective English language teaching (ELT). This paper explores the relationship between CT skills and ELT by reviewing relevant literature. CT skills refer to the ability to analyze information objectively, make logical connections between ideas, evaluate evidence and arguments, solve problems systematically, and reflect on viewpoints critically. Research shows that language teachers with higher CT dispositions design more student-centered, interactive activities focusing on real communication. They emphasize tasks promoting meaningful language use, critical discussion, and analysis. Rather than just transmitting knowledge, these teachers help students develop their own CT and language abilities. Students of CT-skilled teachers show greater improvement over time in English proficiency, cognitive academic skills, and CT competencies. The paper discusses theories explaining this impact-CT allows teachers to be more deliberate, strategic, and reflective in pedagogical decision-making. Enhancing teacher CT through preservice and in-service training may therefore lead to higher quality ELT. The development of critical educators helps strengthen the critical capacities of their students. More research can further clarify the mechanisms of this relationship and inform CT training models useful for ELT contexts.

It is humanity's essential task and challenge to protect the natural environment. We're dealing with some tough changes in the environment, so we need to do what we can to help reduce our negative impact on the environment. In this context, it is essential that young generations understand and address environmental issues. Individual pro-environmental behaviors can help to create more eco-friendly standards of behavior, which in turn help to reduce environmental damage. On that note, social media has been proven to influence climate change attitudes and views, while also raising an individual's awareness of the need to act pro-environmentally. It is well known that social media is one of the most widely used communication and media channels in the world. With the increasing use of social media, especially among younger generations, and the growing importance of our climate disaster, it's worth exploring how a widely used persuasive communication tool could influence a person's pro-environment behaviors. This paper employs a qualitative study and aims to understand the level of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of young people in favor of environmental behavior and how social media plays a crucial role in positive change in environmental behavior and attitudes. The findings of this paper show that social media is effective in promoting pro-environmental behavior and it also helps to understand the threats of environmental issues, especially climate change.

In the digital world learners want something inspiring and amusing for learning. The graphic novel is a visual text for young readers to develop reading skills with a new perspective. These visual texts enhance the interest in readers to read and comprehend the visuals, text and theme. Thus, the graphic novel serves as a tool for visual learning. The graphic novel also plays a major role to engage the readers to improve their reading skills. Thus teachers can use the graphic novels with activities based on the plot, mood, character, theme and other fabrication elements through visual ideas that aid to improve reading comprehension. The mixture of picture and text the perpetual existence of models develop certain psychological anticipation for reading. This paper discusses how graphic novel enhance reading ability on young readers.

Based on the results obtained from the pre-questionnaire, 36 participants were subjected to a pre-test, after which activities were given using TBA during tasks or task cycles, language focus, and finally a post-test. Each activity focuses on reading and listening tasks to develop the learners" comprehension, thereby promoting and understanding ecological issues from the movie. The result of the study shows that there is a gradual improvement in the mean score between the paired-t test of pre-test and post-test, which is (t [36] = 6.13889, P< 0.001), the P value being less than 0.005. The present study was suggestive that TBA effectively developed learners" receptive skills and also motivated learners about environmental issues in the movie Wall-E.

This study explores the synergistic relationship between critical thinking and ecocritical thinking, investigating pedagogical strategies that effectively foster both domains simultaneously. The findings highlight the effectiveness of inquiry-based learning, case study analysis, and immersive learning environments facilitated by technology in cultivating eco-critical thinking through the lens of critical inquiry. Inquiry-based learning encourages learners to question assumptions, analyze information, and consider diverse viewpoints, while simultaneously fostering an understanding of the interconnections between human activities and ecological systems. Case study analysis promotes critical inquiry, problem-solving, and the examination of multiple stakeholder perspectives related to environmental challenges. The implications of this research underscore the need for curricular integration, interdisciplinary collaboration, professional development for educators, and the incorporation of technology and immersive learning environments in environmental education. By nurturing eco-critical thinkers equipped with critical inquiry skills and ecological awareness, this study contributes to the broader discourse on empowering individuals to address environmental challenges and drive sustainable change.

Ecocriticism deals with other disciplinary studies such as deep ecology, green studies, anthropocentric, non-anthropocentric, blue humanities, environmentalism, and ecofeminism. The ideology behind ecocriticism is to sustain peace and harmony in nature and to protect the ecosystem. The present paper analyses the relationship between deep ecology and graphic novels. This study is quantitative and incorporates Krippendorff's (1989) critical content analysis to identify the portrayal of deep ecology in the graphic novels "Trashed" (2015) and "John Muir: Earth, Planet, and Universe" (2017). The selected graphic novels analyse deep ecology from ecocritical perspectives. Graphic novels are sequential art, a combination of images and text. The graphic novel's illustrations show the interconnection of humans and nature, stressing that humans largely use nature to serve their own needs. The graphic novels "John Muir: Earth, Planet, Universe" and "Trashed" portray a visual and verbal human-centric perspective from an illustrative example of deep ecological inquiry via cultural heritage, emphasising the evolving relations between man and nature. Graphic novels create interest and motivate readers to analyse the concepts of deep ecology and awareness to protect the natural world.

Regular reading is sometimes dismissed as being too time-consuming and insufficient to fully enjoy the quick satisfaction provided by the internet and social media. Consequently, educators are acknowledging that this has changed young learners learning patterns. Therefore, graphic novels can be used as an innovative tool for motivating young learners to read. Graphic novels are a combination of illustration and text, with many visual illustrations. The illustration elements, such as onomatopoeia, layout, panels, gutters, and other graphic elements, aid reading. It acts as a picture map to read a text without ambiguity. Therefore, graphic novels are not only aids for reading skills but also for a better understanding of characteristics and themes. The paper aims to bring out the effectiveness of graphic novels in motivating reading among the younger learners.
