Walkthrough[edit]
Talk to Agent Ihan and he will explain the plan to defeat Kellach. Arm each of the bombs. Kellach will attack the throne room. Defeat Kellach and four Risen minions. The bombs cause decent damage, but they only trigger if an enemy gets very close to them. Fortunately, the Risen Brutes aren't too difficult to handle and Kellach himself has no special abilities other than possessing high health, dealing a few hundred damage per hit, and defiance.

Dialogue[edit]
Talking to NPCs before Ihan:
- Logan Thackeray: Jennah's in danger. Stay alert.
- You must really care for her.
- I would give my life for her.
- She means more to you than Kryta?
- If there is purpose in my life, it is to keep her safe. She is Kryta.
- We'll keep her safe.
- I hope everything works out for you.
- The gods will watch over us.
- Countess Anise: The Shining Blade guards the Queen of Kryta. Nothing that comes through that door will touch her, I swear it.
- Are the Shining Blade part of the Seraph or the Ministry?
- The Shining Blade are guards to the throne. For generations, we have protected and advised the rulers of Kryta.
- And yet you're alone here?
- I'm here to make the illusion of the queen seem authentic. The other Shining Blade soldiers are with the real Jennah.
- I see. I have another question.
- Good point, thanks.
- I'm glad the queen has such loyal guards. I have another question.
- Thank you for reminding me.
- The order plans to replace the queen with a duplicate. Will you be staying?
- Yes. If Kellach is to believe this is the real Queen Jennah, I must be at her side.
- I hate to ask this, Countess, but can you fight?
- Fight? Darling, I devastate. When Kellach's minions approach, I assure you, you'll see exactly what I'm capable of doing.
- I'm sure we will. I have another question.
- Very well. Thank you.
- I'll keep that in mind.
Cinematic with Ihan:
- Agent Ihan: There you are, Initiate! are you ready to lay a trap for our "friend," Kellach?
- <Character name>: I am, Ihan. Are your agents prepared?
- Agent Ihan: Our agents, my friend. You're a member of the Order of Whispers now. We all work as one.
- Agent Ihan: Everything's arranged. We've set up traps throughout the room, and we'll create a magical duplicate of Queen Jennah to distract Kellach.
- Logan Thackeray: But the real Queen Jennah will be safe, right?
- Agent Ihan: Absolutely. You have my word, on the honor of our Order.
- Logan Thackeray: Good. Kellach's been sighted near the palace grounds. He should be here any minute now.
After cinematic:
- Countess Anise: Success!
- Agent Ihan: The bombs should be easy to arm. They've been strategically placed and just need activation.
Talking to Ihan:
- Agent Ihan: We're prepared for Kellach's arrival, Initiate. Any last questions about the trap we're setting?
- How do we make a duplicate of Queen Jennah?
- With the Queen's permission, Countess Anise has offered to use her magic to assist us.
- Excellent. I have another question.
- The countess is very talented. Kellach won't suspect a thing.
- Any news on Kellach's location?
- The Shining Blade said that he broke into the palace cellars through a secret entrance near the Northern Waterways. He could be here at any moment.
- I'll keep my eyes open for him. I have another question.
- Even insane, Kellach is one tricky guy. We'll be ready when he gets here.
- So what's the plan?
- We give Kellach a chance to surrender. If he doesn't, we trick him into attacking the queen, and finding his destruction instead.
- I've never heard of an Aetheric Bomb. What is it?
- It's a combination of charr and asuran technology. It sends out a pulse that's very damaging to the unliving.
- Interesting. I have another question.
- Interesting. Thanks.
- That works for me. Can I ask another question?
- Good. I'll double-check my gear, and wait for our visitor to arrive.
- We've planned for every reasonable contingency. I'm ready when you are.
After arming the bombs:
- Agent Ihan: The bombs should be ready now. Good timing. Kellach's here!
Cinematic with Kellach:
- Corporal Kellach: Your majesty...my beloved queen...Jennah! You...you have to listen. I won't hurt you...I...I just need your blood. It will save Kryta!
- <Character name>: Corporal Kellach! Drop your weapons and surrender. You're not thinking clearly.
- Corporal Kellach: No. I need her blood! Royal blood. Don't you understand? It can cure the corruption. Make us all free!
- <Character name>: It's not true. Alastia Crow lied to you, Kellach. She did this just to endanger the queen.
- Corporal Kellach: No...no, you're wrong. There has to be a way. Tell me!
- Corporal Kellach: No, this can't be the truth! I'll kill you all!
After cinematic:
- Logan Thackeray: For the queen! Charge!
- Corporal Kellach: Grenth take you! I won't...I won't give in.
- Corporal Kellach: No. You won't stop me!
- Corporal Kellach: Must kill...need blood!
After defeating Kellach:
- <Character name>: Poor Kellach. His mistakes were rooted in his love for queen and country.
- Logan Thackeray: So many mistakes...made for all the right reasons. The queen could have been killed by someone who loved her. Even...I mean, it really makes you think.
- <Character name>: It's all right, Logan. The queen is safe. Focus on the future, and Kryta will stay safe, too.
- Agent Ihan: Well done, Initiate! You showed tremendous cunning and nerve. I'm proud you're a member of the Order of Whispers!
- Agent Ihan: Now, for the rest of your initiation. Go to Lion's Arch. There, you'll be contacted by an apple merchant. Meet with him to get your first formal assignment.
- <Character name>: I look forward to it. It's time to be part of a bigger world.
- <Character name>: Logan, are you all right? You seem rattled.
- Logan Thackeray: I'm glad Jennah's safe, but I realize now that her safety is temporary. Everything is temporary, unless the dragons can be stopped.
- Logan Thackeray: The dragons can't be defeated by one person, or even one nation. There has to be another way.
- Logan Thackeray: Do you think we can overcome our mistakes, my friend? Make up for the things we've done?
- <Character name>: I know we can, Logan. Mistakes make us human. It's rising up again that makes us heroes.
- Logan Thackeray: You're right. I've been too focused on keeping the queen safe. I love being at her side, but maybe that's not where I can best defend her—or Kryta.
- Logan Thackeray: An old friend named Caithe asked me to meet her at Lion's Arch. I think I'll take her up on that.
- <Character name>: I think that's an excellent idea. I'll see you in Lion's Arch!
Talking to NPCs after cinematic:
- Logan Thackeray: Blessed Lyssa, thank you for your mercy. Kryta's queen is safe once more.
- Were you really that worried?
- Jennah is my queen, but my feelings for her go beyond mere duty. Of course I worry.
- Fair enough. I have another question.
- You're a good man, Logan. I hope you find a way to be happy together.
- Tell me more about this friend of yours, Caithe. Who is she?
- Caithe is a sylvari. She was a scout in my old guild, Destiny's Edge.
- And?
- When our guild fell apart she never accepted it. She acts as if we're just taking a break between missions.
- I have more questions about Caithe.
- Can I ask a different question?
- Thank you for everything, Logan. I'll see you in Lion's Arch.
- Do you trust her?
- Yes...and no. Caithe is not my enemy, but she doesn't understand the full situation, or that Destiny's Edge is no more.
- I have more questions about Caithe.
- Can I ask a different question?
- Thank you for everything, Logan. I'll see you in Lion's Arch.
- Why does she want to meet you in Lion's Arch? Why not in Divinity's Reach?
- Lion's Arch is where it all began. She likely wants to use a familiar place to dredge up sentimental feelings. She's...stubborn.
- Can I ask you more about Caithe?
- I have a different question
- Thank you for everything, Logan. I'll see you in Lion's Arch.
- What does Caithe want?
- It's likely she's discovered something new about the dragons. If I can convince her to tell me, it might benefit Kryta—and the queen.
- If I can help, just let me know.
- Thanks. I'll see you in Lion's Arch.
- Caithe wanted to meet you in Lion's Arch. Anywhere in particular?
- The Trader's Forum. It's where we first formed Destiny's Edge. I'm sure she's being deliberate.
- I'll meet you there. Travel safely.
- The gods will watch over us.
- Agent Ihan: Your wits are sharp as knives, Initiate. The Preceptors were right about you.
- Who are the Preceptors?
- The Master of Whispers leads the order, but his identity is a secret. Three Preceptors carry out his directives.
- Who are these Preceptors?
- Their names are Halvora, Valenze and Doern. You'll meet them soon enough.
- I'll have to be patient, then. I have another question.
- I can't wait to hear the tale.
- Good to know. Thanks.
- What's the next step, now that I'm a member of the Order of Whispers?
- The Preceptors arranged a contact for you in Lion's Arch. His job will be to mentor you in our modus operandi.
- Who will be my mentor?
- That's need-to-know information, Initiate. Don't worry. He'll contact you when you reach Lion's Arch.
- Understood.
- I look forward to hearing from him.
- Logan's asked me to meet him in Lion's Arch.
- Be sure to take notes for the Order's records. We keep an extensive file on the guild members of Destiny's Edge.
- Noted. I have another question.
- That makes sense.
- I look forward to a long career with the Order.
