2012 Teen Choice Awards

The 2012 Teen Choice Awards, hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale, were held on July 22, 2012 and broadcast on Fox. The awards celebrated the year's achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy and the Internet, and were voted on by teenage viewers aged 13 through 19. Over 134 million votes were cast.

Taylor Swift had the most individual wins with five, including Choice Female Artist and Female Country Artist. Kristen Stewart obtained three awards, including the "Ultimate Choice" award which she shared with Twilight co-stars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson. Although the actors received most awards, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 won four out of 11 nominations as a whole, including the "Ultimate Choice", bringing the entire series' Teen Choice Award totals to 41.The Hunger Games won seven of its eight nominations, including Choice Book, Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie Actor, for Josh Hutcherson's work.The Vampire Diaries won six of its eight nominations, including Choice Fantasy/Sci-Fi TV Show, Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi TV Show and Male Hottie for its star, Ian Somerhalder.Pretty Little Liars won all five of their nominations, including Choice TV Drama.

Advanced Mezzanine Card

Advanced Mezzanine Cards are printed circuit boards (PCBs) that follow a specification of the PCI Industrial Computers Manufacturers Group (PICMG), with more than 100 companies participating. Known as AdvancedMC, the official specification designation is AMC.x (see below). AdvancedMC is targeted to requirements for the next generation of "carrier grade" communications equipment. This series of specifications are designed to work on any carrier card (primarily AdvancedTCA) but also to plug into a backplane directly as defined by MicroTCA specification.

The AMC standard is not to be confused with other mezzanine card standards such as PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) and FMC – FPGA Mezzanine Card.

AMC specifications

An AdvancedMC card can use proprietary LVDS-based signaling, or one of the following AMC specifications:

1,1,2-Trichloroethane

1,1,2-Trichloroethane, or 1,1,2-TCA, is an organochloride solvent with the molecular formula C₂H₃Cl₃. It is a colourless, sweet-smelling liquid that does not dissolve in water, but is soluble in most organic solvents. It is an isomer of 1,1,1-trichloroethane.

It is used as a solvent and as an intermediate in the synthesis of 1,1-dichloroethane.

1,1,2-TCA is a central nervous system depressant and inhalation of vapors may cause dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, shortness of breath, unconsciousness, or cancer.

Toxicology

Trichloroethane may be harmful by inhalation, ingestion and skin contact. It is a respiratory and eye irritant. Although no definitive studies currently exist, trichloroethane should be treated as a potential carcinogen since laboratory evidence suggests that low molecular weight chlorinated hydrocarbons may be carcinogenic.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health have set occupational exposure limits to 1,1,2-Trichloroethane at 10 ppm over an eight hour time-weighted average. It is considered to be a potential occupational carcinogen.
