Abstract. Affective science conducts interdisciplinary research into the emotions and other affective phenomena. Currently, such research is hampered by the lack of common definitions of terms used to describe, categorise and report both individual emotional experiences and the results of scientific investigations of such experiences.

Unlike ontology in philosophy, which specifies the substances and processes there are, perhaps in a given domain, ontologies in biomedical science specify the meaning of terms in the life sciences. The aim of biomedical ontologies is to increase the potential for integration of experimental and clinical online data (Rubin et al. 2008). The hope is that a greater integration of online data will lead to more effective data analysis and new discoveries.

Computational models of affect (CMAS), in their most common form, cannot take into account the qualitative (phenomenal) dimension of affect itself. Their expressivity can be extended, thus promoting the much sought-after standardization in the most theory-neutral way, using OWL (Web Ontology Language) and machine learning techniques. OWL is an expressive formal language, as well as an established open standard, and can be used to describe the models, possibly including qualitative entities at the fundamental level. The supervised machine learning techniques allow the direct learning and application of models described as OWL ontologies. Thanks to human supervision (e.g. using datasets labeled by a human user), they can take into account the qualitative dimension of affect when the models warrant it. To further promote the aforementioned standardization, the task of classifying texts according to their affective content (known in computer science as "sentiment analysis") ca...
motions-aware applications are getting a lot of attention as a way to improve the user experience, and also thanks to increasingly affordable Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCI). Thus, projects collecting emotion-related data are proliferating, like social networks sentiment analysis or tracking students’ engagement to reduce Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) drop out rates. All them require a common way torepresent emotions so it can be more easily integrated, shared and reused by applications improving user experience. Due to the complexity of this data, our proposal is to use rich semantic models based on ontology. EmotionsOnto is a generic ontology for describing emotions and their detection and expression systems taking contextual and multimodal elements into account. The ontology has been applied in the context of EmoCS, a project that collaboratively collects emotion common sense and models it using the EmotionsOnto and other ontologies. Currently, emotion input is provided manually by users. However, experiments are being conduced to automatically measure users’s emotional states using Brain–Computer Interfaces

SEALS OF THE KHOTYN COUNTY IN THE INTERWAR PERIOD. HISTORICAL AND SPHRAGISTIC ANALYSIS
SEALS OF THE KHOTYN COUNTY IN THE INTERWAR PERIOD. HISTORICAL AND SPHRAGISTIC ANALYSIS // Codrul Cosminului. – 2023. – Issue 1 (Vol. 29). P. 7-30.2023 •
In the article, the authors have made a detailed sphragistic and historical analysis of the matrix seals that were found on the territories of the former Khotyn County (Northern Bessarabia). Most of them are made of bronze and belong to the interwar period when the region was part of the Kingdom of Romania. The material under consideration has a significant factual and illustrative potential, especially in museum work. It testifies that the interwar activities of many organizations and institutions in the Khotyn County remain insufficiently studied or have not become the object of scientific research at all, which poses the issue in a new light.
