This study searched for information on the health benefits of tai chi on three artificial intelligence chatbots in an effort to determine what kind of information could be found, and which chatbot did the best job of finding relevant information. The study found that all three of the bots were able to find useful information, but that the type of information found was more relevant to patients and nonprofessionals than to medical professionals. The study concluded that the PubMed database would be a better choice for information about tai chi that would be useful for medical professionals, although the information found on the three chatbots would serve as a useful introduction for medical professionals who had little or no knowledge of the health benefits of tai chi.

Using Tai Chi, Qigong and Chinese Herbs to Reduce Cholesterol: A Study Incorporating Artificial Intelligence2024 •
The purpose of this study was twofold , first, to see what kind of information artificial intelligence could generate on a medical topic, and second, to generate useful medical information that could be of interest to both the public and the medical professional. Microsoft Copilot was used to create brief essays on tai chi, qigong and Chinese herbs and their use in attempting to reduce bad cholesterol. It was able to do so, and also cited numerous publications on the targeted topic. The research was supplemented by using the PubMed database to see what research had already been conducted on the use of tai chi, qigong and Chinese herbs on the reduction of cholesterol. The methodology employed in the present study can also be used in other studies, both medical and nonmedical, to generate useful information on a wide range of topics that can be read by both professionals and the general reader. However, care must be taken if one attempts to act on the information provided by artificial intelligence, since prior studies have found that the quality of information provided by AI bots can sometimes be incorrect or incomplete. AI can be used as a tool of medical and other research, but the human brain is still needed to check the accuracy of whatever information AI generates. Although AI can be very useful in the preliminary stages of a research project, it should not be the only source of information that is to be relied upon.

Tai Chi, Qigong and the Treatment of Lung Cancer: A Study in Artificial Intelligence2024 •
Tai chi and qigong are longstanding tools in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) toolbox. They have been used for centuries to treat a wide variety of diseases and ailments. Whereas western medicine places its primary focus on the treatment of existing disease, Chinese medicine places more emphasis on prevention. Both tai chi and qigong build up and strengthen the body's natural immune system, which helps to prevent the onset of disease and other ailments and also helps to treat the symptoms of patients who have already contracted an illness. In recent years, western medicine has started to pay more attention to tai chi and qigong. Many western medical studies have incorporated the practice of these two Chinese tools into their analysis and treatment, generally as supplements to traditional western medicine. A relatively new tool of western medicine has been the introduction of the use of artificial intelligence to aid in research as well as the treatment of various maladies. The present article adds to these two bodies of literature. The focus is on finding medical studies that have incorporated artificial intelligence, using two popular chatbots-Copilot and Gab AI-in an attempt to determine which bot provides better information. The test topic is lung cancer. The study found that both bots provided useful information, but that Copilot produced more and better information. This finding will be useful for medical scholars who want to incorporate the use of artificial intelligence into their studies but may not know where to start. This study may be replicated to examine other ailments and diseases as well as medical procedures and the management of medical practices.

THE POTENTIAL OF CHATBOT IN CHIROPRACTIC PRACTICE2023 •
Developments in artificial intelligence and natural language processing have permitted the creation of conversational agents, or chatbots, to assist with a variety of healthcare activities. Chatbots, such as ChatGPT, can boost patient access to care and allow physicians to focus on more complicated concerns by automating basic questions and requests. Chatbots can provide health advice and information, organize appointments, and monitor symptoms, among other functions. The increasing need for health services and advancements in AI have prompted the development of chatbots to assist with behavior modification, treatment support, screening, training, and triage. Chatbots have the ability to support self-management, educate patients, and avoid degeneration for chiropractors and other professionals who treat musculoskeletal disorders. Overall, chatbots could transform therapeutic delivery and improve patient access and convenience. However, the introduction of chatbots faces considerable obstacles, including privacy and security concerns, a lack of human engagement, and technological and data accuracy limits. While effort is being made to remove these obstacles, clinicians are still indispensable. The future of chatbots in healthcare is bright, since advances in articial intelligence and natural language processing will allow for increasingly sophisticated assistance of clinical procedures. Although chatbots cannot replace human practitioners, they can free up providers to focus on more complex issues and improve patient access to and satisfaction with care.

THE USE OF INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION AGENTS (CHATBOTS) AS A TOOL FOR PROMOTING THERAPEUTIC CONDUCTS IN HEALTHCARE (Atena Editora)2023 •
INTRODUCTION: With technological advances, conversational agents, such as chatbots, and telemedicine emerge as allies to improve the quality of life and communication in the health sector (. These technologies allow the recording of symptoms and remote care, monitoring the state physical and psychological of patients, facilitating clinical practice. OBJECTIVE: analyze and evaluate how the use of chatbots is influencing the healthcare sector as a clinical assistance tool. METHODS: This study carried out a systematic review of the literature by searching the PUBMED and ACM Digital Library databases, using the descriptors “TELEMONITORING”, “TELEMEDICINE” and “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE”, for articles from the last 5 years, available in English. RESULTS: A table was created with the 6 selected articles, structured according to the year of publication, the chatbot used, the objective of the technology and its repercussion. CONCLUSION: The use of intelligent conversational agents (chatbots) has proven to be an effective tool in treatment, diagnosis and medical monitoring, in addition to providing benefits for the patient and the healthcare professional. However, it is necessary to increase the number of studies on the subject, so that more and more areas of health are reached by the benefits of this technology.

Incorporating Qigong into a Western Medical Practice: A Study in Artificial Intelligence2024 •
Qigong has been a tool in the toolbox of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years. Basically, it consists of a series of exercises that awaken the bio-electromagnetic fields in the human body. These activated energy fields serve to strengthen the body's immune system, thus preventing disease, as well as healing the human body of existing diseases. Qigong exercises can also be used to alleviate or reduce the side-effects of numerous ailments. They are often used as supplementary treatments in Western medical practices. The purpose of this study is twofold. First, the intent is to introduce both medical professionals and nonprofessionals to qigong in a nontechnical way, with emphasis on how it is being incorporated as a supplementary therapy in Western medical practices, and second, to illustrate how artificial intelligence can be used in medical research. Microsoft Copilot was used to generate information about how qigong is being used in Western medical practice. It provided a brief, nontechnical description that was on point, and also provided citations to nine sources of additional information.
