The Research Handbook on Organizational Cognition (RHOC) is designed to guide scholars around existing, prospective, and possible expansions of knowledge of the topic. In so doing, it offers an overview aimed at positioning the field in relation to other areas of research, both within management and organization research and other social science disciplines. It aims at presenting a number of paradigms, frameworks, theories, and models – called ‘perspectives’ – to map the field. The book also covers methodology, by covering not only current more established methods, but least used methods that present potentials for moving the field forward. Finally, RHOC dedicates an entire section on the challenges that the study of organizational cognition has offered thus far indicating the areas in which more research is deemed necessary.
