It can be defined as 0.1% of congenital heart diseases, and it could present isolated or could belong to the spectrum of the Pentalogy of Cantrell (PoC), which is a rare congenital disorder first described in 1958 by Cantrell.
Mots clés : algorithme, sémiotique, mythe, créativité Abstract: Although algorithms is ubiquitous and seem to regulate our lives, its definitions is often laconic and more or less metaphorical. More than its definition, it's the description of how it works that generally attracts attention. It then appears as an algorithmic actant with the status of an invisible, and therefore worrying, social destinateur. The word algorithm has long belonged to the metalanguage of semiotics, which, by vocation, focuses its attention on the functioning of discourse, more precisely on the relationship between terms, their mode of arrangement, in order to ask "how it means" (Floch, 1985). Integrated into its organon, the term algorithm is used to describe narrative transformations and the reconfiguration of narrative units by mythic discourse. This article looks at the use of the term algorithm in semiotics, and characterizes this ancient creative algorithm in relation to the computer algorithm that has now entered everyday language. To what extent can the term be used to describe the organization of knowledge?
We intend for this session to be a call for more systematic archaeological approaches to Roman Thessaly, to establish a discourse on directions for future research, and to contribute to the decentering of Roman archaeology.
deuxième icône porte comme inscription la phrase liturgique « Στῶμεν καλῶς, στῶμεν μετὰ φό-
βου ».
Controlling the spread of influenza to reduce the effects of infection on a population is an important mandate of public health. Mass media reports on an epidemic or pandemic can provide important information to the public, and in turn, can induce positive healthy behaviour practices (i.e., handwashing, social distancing) in the individuals, that will reduce the probability of contracting the disease. Mass media fatigue, however, can dampen these effects. Mathematical models can be used to study the effects of mass media reports on epidemic/pandemic outcomes. In this study we employ a stochastic agent based model to provide a quantification of mass media reports on the variability in important public health measurements. We also include mass media report data compiled by the Global Public Health Intelligence Network, to study the effects of mass media reports in the 2009 H1N1 pandemic. We find that the report rate and the rate at which individuals relax their healthy behaviours (med...
We present a computational model of planning, scheduling, and execution that is capable of supporting the interactions of a self-interested agent with other agents in a contracting environment over an extended period of time. The model is appropriate for situations in which a customer agent, in order to ful ll its goals, must contract with other supplier agents for all or part of the necessary tasks. The agents are assumed to be self-interested and with limited rationality. Supplier agents attempt to gain the greatest ...
The study aimed to assess the extent of implementation of the recruitment and selection process at HuangHai Property Management Company in Qingdao, Shandong, China. The study used a descriptive-survey research design, and the investigation's foremost objective was to ascertain how the recruiting and selection process was being implemented at the company. The variables that were included were anticipation, job analysis, pool development for recruitment, and assessment procedure, deal closing, and onboarding for selection. The study employed the purposive sampling technique selecting managers and staff as respondents. A total of 102 respondents met the criteria of the study concerning the recruitment and selection process. The study found that the company effectively implemented its recruitment process, creating a candidate pool for job offers using both internal and external methods. However, gaps were identified, suggesting the anticipation of the need for more staff observations and managers' perceptions of job analysis. To better understand the job's complexity, context, responsibilities, and practices, the company should conduct proactive analysis of future demands, continuously evaluate potential candidate pools, and generate periodic forecasts of needs. Moreover, the investigation revealed that the company's selection process was effectively implemented, with a successful assessment procedure indicating a candidate's fit for the role and company culture. The onboarding process was methodical and orderly, aiming to encourage commitment and job satisfaction. However, there are still gaps in the data gathered, and the company should focus more on deal closing, particularly signing employment agreements with highly qualified candidates. This suggested that, in order to conduct a specific intervention based on differences in observation applicable to each category of variables, a significant difference in the respondents' observations regarding the extent of the implementation of the recruitment and selection process should be employed. The outcomes of the study served as a foundation to formulate a proposed program development to improve the effectiveness of recruitment and selection process that could be utilized by the involved company.
