Purpose: The purpose of this study is to numerically investigate two dimensional steady state convective heat transfer in a differentially heated square cavity with constant temperatures and an inner rotating cylinder. The gap between the cylinder and the enclosure walls is filled with power law non-Newtonian fluid. The left wall is uniformly heated whereas the right wall is maintained uniformly cooled. The top and bottom walls are kept as adiabatic. The moving boundary condition was defined for the cylinder wall located within the enclosure where the wall is insulated. Design/Methodology/Approach: Finite volume based CFD software, Fluent (Ansys 15.0) is used to solve the governing equations. Attribution of the various flow parameters of fluid flow and heat transfer are investigated including Rayleigh number (Ra) ranging from 10^4 to 10^6, Prandtl number (Pr) from 10 to 1000, Power law index (n) from 0.6 to 1.4, the cylinder radius (R) from 0 to 0.3, and the angular rotational speed (Ω) from -500 to 500. Grid sensitivity analysis is performed and numerically obtained results have been compared with those results available in the literature and found to be in good agreement. Findings: Outcomes are reported in terms of isotherms, streamlines and average Nusselt number (𝑁𝑢) of the heated wall for various Ra, Pr, n, R and Ω. Vertical and horizontal displacement of the cylinder were tested to capture the effect of cylinder eccentricity on the investigating flow pattern and average 𝑁𝑢. Research Limitations: A detailed investigates is needed in the context of 3D flow. This will be a part of our future work. Practical Implementations: The effect of a rotating cylinder on heat transfer and fluid flow in a differentially heated rectangular enclosure filled with Power Law non-Newtonian fluid has practical importance in the process industry. Original/Value: The results of this study may be of some interest to the researchers of the field of chemical or process engineering.

This paper presents a report of the Rakhigarhi Hinterland survey, which was a focused village-to- village survey of the hinterland of the major urban site of Rakhigarhi, in District Hissar, Haryana, India. During August and September 2009, a total of 127 sites were visited, and a sizable proportion of these sites, from all periods, were previously unknown. The results of this survey highlight a number of problems with the existing site distribution data sets and have important ramifications for our understanding of the dynamics of settlement in Haryana throughout proto- and early history. They will also make an important contribution to our understanding of the rise of cities in western India during the period of the Indus Civilisation.

Despite recent success towards controlling poliovirus transmission, Nigeria has struggled to achieve uniformly high routine vaccination coverage. A lack of reliable vaccination coverage data at the operational level makes it challenging to target program improvement. To reliably estimate vaccination coverage, we conducted district-level vaccine coverage surveys using a pre-existing infrastructure of polio technical staff in northern Nigeria. Household-level cluster surveys were conducted in 40 polio high risk districts of Nigeria during 2014-2015. Global positioning system technology and intensive supervision by a pool of qualified technical staff were used to ensure high survey quality. Vaccination status of children aged 12-23 months was documented based on vaccination card or caretaker's recall. District-level coverage estimates were calculated using survey methods. Data from 7,815 children across 40 districts were analyzed. District-level coverage with the third dose of diph...
This paper presents preliminary lists of potentially interesting point-like sources extracted from multicolor data obtained for a 1.7 square degree region near the South Galactic Pole. The region has been covered by the ESO Imaging Survey (EIS) in B, V,I, and offers a unique combination of area and depth. These lists, containing a total of 330 objects nearly all brighter than I~21.5, over 1.27 square degrees (after removing some bad regions), are by-products of the process of verification and quality control of the object catalogs being produced. Among the color selected targets are candidate very low mass stars/brown dwarfs (54), white-dwarfs (32), and quasars (244). In addition, a probable fast moving asteroid was identified. The objects presented here are natural candidates for follow-up spectroscopic observations and illustrate the usefulness of the EIS data for a broad range of science and for providing possible samples for the first year of the VLT.
This invention relates generally to the field of medicinal chemistry. More specifically, it relates to novel triterpene derivatives, preferably glycyrrhetinic acid derivatives that have pharmacologic activities, formulations containing such and their use to diagnose, cure or prevent certain diseases.
