Flavius Josephus aka Arrius Calpurnius Piso (Roman Piso, 02-05-13, as 'A Few Items Regarding Arrius Calpurnius Piso', updated 06-02-2017) Who was Flavius Josephus? Answering this one question, leads to answers to virtually all other questions about ancient history. The answer is that he was Arrius Calpurnius Piso, a royal Roman. He wrote under the alias of Flavius Josephus and pretended to be a Jew. He was of Jewish descent, on his mother's side. Please read on and learn. Lately, I have had a chance to recall a few things that have been brought up and/or which have been discussed in the past regarding the creation of the Jesus character and authorship of the New Testament by Arrius Calpurnius Piso. I feel that though many of these things have been answered or addressed by either myself or others who have worked in this area of ancient history, that information has not been easy for many to find. Thus, I will bring up a few of those things here and explain just what I mean. The first item that I will address is something that many people who consider themselves experts in ancient history have thought to have been a valid or important point or issue; and that is the claim that the name 'Arrius' is not a Roman name. There actually are some instances of the name (as 'Arius') in Roman history. However, in tracing the ancestry of Arrius Calpurnius Piso, I personally discovered that there were various spellings of the name – made deliberately by those who were composing ancient historical documents. By the way, he is also found in the histories of and near his time as '[Marcus] Antonius Primus'. He, Arrius Piso, is the ultimate example of "One man plays many parts..." (Shakespeare). And, very likely, exactly who he was actually referring to with that statement. The reason was to leave an accurate record of history within the accounts being given by these people who were a) all related to each other, and b) who were writing all the documents written for public consumption (historical, 'religious', and all others), and who were c) royalty, and who d) had the same common ancestry. Here is an example of how “Arrius” Calpurnius Piso fits into the convoluted version of history given, but which, at the same time, reveals his ancestry, various version of his name within that family, and versions of his name carried on by his descendants. Though the family tree is not simple to reconstruct, it is nonetheless easy to verify in certain ways once it is known by those who understand the correct context of (or correct nature of) ancient texts. Once you know these things, you begin to think in terms of transposing letters and imaging methodology which makes this possible. Arrius Calpurnius Piso was descended from Cleopatra and Marc Antony, and left a means in which to confirm that. His descent in this instance goes from Cleopatra and Marc Antony via a daughter (Chelias Alexandria), who married the father of Rhetorician Seneca. His name was “Anneas” (“Anneaus”, we discover, is a transposed version of “Arrius”), as was that of his son “Anneas” Seneca. For those who were on the right track in discovering this, Arrius Piso inserted Seneca's brother in the New Testament, and a nephew of Seneca (Lucan) was also famous in Roman literature. Again, we are talking about a powerful, royal, Roman family. Seneca, had married “Paulina” (Pollina) and his sister, was “Annea”, actually a Queen named 'Arria' (The Elder). Note that both Seneca and his sister have names which contain versions of the name 'Arrius' (his sister, is merely the feminine form of 'Arrius'). Seneca's sister, Arria The Elder, had a daughter who would also be called 'Arria' (Arria The Younger). This Arria The Elder, was married to the Emperor Vespasian's brother, Titus Flavius Sabinus. Thus, Arrius Piso could trace his own ancestry back through the ancestors of Seneca and those of the Emperor Vespasian; which has been explained and illustrated in detail elsewhere. The daughter of Arria The Elder and T. Flavius Sabinus, was Arria The Younger, who married Gaius Calpurnius Piso. Those two, were the parents of Arrius Calpurnius Piso. In recorded history, the daughter of Arria The Younger is given as 'Fannia'. This, is another transposed version of the Anneas/Arrius name. However, she has an 'F' in addition to the “Annia” (Arria, w/ 'n' replacing 'r'). The 'F' in the name, given that we know her ancestry, is merely an initial standing for 'Flavia'. She is actually known to family and friends as 'Flavia Arria'. This, to denote her ancestry from the Flavian line. In the same way that his sister has disguised her actual name and ancestry, so has Arrius Piso. He constructs various alias names and is inserted into the history of the time by use of those alias names. How can he do this legitimately? The royals used something which we now call “inherited name/titles”. That is, they were, in some instances, entitled to use the names of their ancestors in order to construct alias names within the texts that they and their family composed for public consumption. One reason for this is so that their ancestry could be reliably traced via the use of those ancestral names or titles, once their actual identity is either known or suspected. Arrius Piso, used his 'Antonius' name in the creation of his 'Antonius Primus' name, a name given by Tacitus & Pliny The Younger. He further hints at his ancestry from Marc Antony by the use of this name by letting us know that this 'Antonius Primus' was 'Marcus Antonius' Primus in his fuller name. Arrius Calpurnius Piso uses his 'Arrius' name in the alias name he used in history as 'Arrius Antoninus', the founder of the 'Antonine' dynasty. Arrius Piso had sons and daughters. One daughter had sons from a previous marriage (to Rufus), and then later married the Emperor Trajan. One of those sons wrote as Suetonius and became the Emperor Antoninus Pius. His brother, wrote as both 'Appian' and 'Arrian' (simple transposed versions of 'Arrius'), and the Emperor Antoninus Pius also carried the 'Arrius' name. The name (public name) used by Antoninus Pius, was actually a satirical construct using the components 'Anton', which is short for or an abbreviated form of 'Antony' (inherited from Marc Antony, via Arrius Piso, as inherited from Marc Antony by Arrius Piso). And the 'ninus' portion of his name refers to Arrius Piso playing the part of the baby 'Jesus' in the New Testament. 'Ninus' means “baby boy”. To those who were in on the inside joke, this was obvious and they just kept this inside joke going down through their family as they went down through history. The 'Pius' portion was a joke on the fact that the New Testament, written by Antoninus Pius' grandfather (Arrius Piso), was actually satire (a joke) which the Roman public were believing as if it were true. While we are on the subject of Roman emperors, I should point out that during my research on the subject of this royal family, Arrius Piso appears to have co-ruled (in the background) with various emperors. This fact, I had discovered given in the works of Pliny The Younger. He may have co-ruled with his uncle Vespasian. He did co-rule with Titus. He did not co-rule with Domitian. He did co-rule with Nerva. And he did co-rule with Trajan (his son-in-law), and he may have co-ruled for a year or two with Hadrian. Hadrian was married to Arrius Piso's granddaughter (Julius Piso's daughter). Hadrian was succeeded by Antoninus Pius, Arrius Piso's grandson, through his daughter Claudia Phoebe (aka Pompeia Plotina, Trajan's wife). Antoninus Pius was succeeded by Marcus Aurelius & Lucius Verus (who co-ruled for a time, until Lucius Verus' death). All these were descendants of Arrius Piso. My work on the true ancestry and descent of all of the Roman emperors from Arrius Piso up to the Constantinian dynasty is available now to everyone online – just do a search to find it. It is given in stemma charts. The most updated and corrected versions are given in image form at my Flickr.com page (search Flickr Roman Piso). Besides the evidence given here, the Jews, who were battling Arrius Piso and his family, gave his true full name in the Talmud. They had to hide it, but gave 'Arrius', 'Calpurnius', and 'Piso' therein. == Example Profile Of Arrius Calpurnius Piso: [Note: This is a condensed example of a compiled Profile] Lifetime of Principle Individual: First & Second Century C.E. [Note: Profiles will cross-reference with each other. And then, how, once Domitian became Emperor, he banished the Piso family from Rome. It also covers what happened to the Piso family during Domitian's reign, and how the Piso's managed to assassinate Domitian and then regained their power over the Roman Empire. A major key to deciphering this from within the histories that they left us, is to know the various alias or alternate names that were used to hide this information from non-royal eyes. Thus, I am sharing many of those names in this paper. Though the Emperor Vespasian, and his son and successor Emperor, Titus, both got along well with Arrius Piso (their relative via Vespasian's brother T. Flavius Sabinus II). But, for now, this is a list of alias names that were used by Arrius Piso and his royal relatives. Arrius Piso (b. 37 CE, d. 118 CE [or 119 CE?]) : Flavius Josephus, the NT Jesus, the NT Peter (St. Peter, later listed as 'Pope'), Hero of Alexandria, Apollonius of Tyana, Scopelian (The Lives of Apollonius of Tyana, and Scopelian, were written by Emperor Gordian I writing as Flavius Philostratus 'The Athenian'), Epictetus, Marcus Antonius Primus, Dio Chrysostom, Plutarch, The Lamed Vov (Talmud), ben Pantera (Talmud), Jupiter (Zeus) Capitolinus (so, when Judea was renamed, it was secretly named after Arrius Piso), Flavius Aper, (Flavius) Archippus (in the NT, Col. 4:17, Phm. 2) & in history as Flavius Archippus (in the letters of Pliny The Younger, X. 58, 59, 60, 81, 82), (Flavius) Arrianus Maturus [in Pliny The Younger], Marius (M. Arius) Maturus [in Tacitus], Arius/Arrius Varus (Arrius/Annius Verus) [Tacitus, Loeb, Book III, pg. 357], Aristarchus (in the NT; Acts 19:29, 20:4, 27:2, Col. 4:10, Phm. 24), Antonius Natalis (he was 'Natalis' jokingly because he was aka the "baby Jesus", and therefore, a "baby boy"). There are a few places where authors of the time pointed to him [Arrius Piso] by referring to him as the baby Jesus (or a "baby boy" as his son Julius Piso does in The Revelation when using the word for 'dragon'), Cestius Gallus (in Flav. Josephus), Flavius Silva, Caesennius Gallus, Titius Aristo, Caesennius Paetus, Claudius Ariston, Gessius Florus, Arius/Arrius Antoninus (ancestor of Emp. Marcus Aurelius), Flavius "Josepos" (in Flavius Josephus), Titinius Capito, Aristaios, Valerius Paulinus (in Pliny's Letters, Book V, XIX. Pliny is in fact, writing a lot of riddles and admits it. Pliny, in the Loeb Classical Library edition, Book VII, #XIII, to Julius F., he says, "I speak in riddles"), Aristeas, Montanus, Montanus Arricinus, Montanius Atticinus, L. Arruntius Stella, Atrius, Arruntius Camilus, Rosianus Gemin(i)us (Gemini, the Twins. Arrius Piso was a twin. His twin brother was killed as an infant. With 'R' as 'P', we have 'Posianus'. With these letters, we can spell 'Arius Piso'), Antonius Julianus (aka Arrius Piso, Ref. J.R.S.), 'Optimus' (in 'The Panegyricus' of Pliny The Younger; he , Pliny, acts as though he is addressing the Emp. Trajan, when he is actually referring to Arrius Piso). Note: It appears that Arrius Piso died in 118 CE, under the name of C. Antius Quintus Bassus (according to Abelard Reuchlin).
