Giris: Kanser tanisi alan bireylerin sayisindaki artis, erken tanilama, etkili cerrahi ve tibbi tedavilerdeki gelismeler kanser sonrasi sag kalimi artirmis; bu durum onkolojik fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon alaninda ulkemizdeki ihtiyaci olusturmustur. Amac: Turkiye’de ilk olarak Gazi Universitesi Saglik Bilimleri Fakultesi Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon Bolumu’nde kurulan Onkolojik Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon Unitesi’ne yapilan basvurulari ve burada sunulan hizmetleri analiz etmektir. With the development of the concept of disability and consequently rehabilitation concept, today’s achievements of rehabilitation centers are perceived different from the traditional ones. Conventional approach of rehabilitation was aiming at improving functional deficiencies of people with disabilities with the help of medical treatment. Within the last two decades depending upon the increasing in the awareness of idea of inclusivity in society there has been developed a shift from traditional medical based approach to more social based ones where rehabilitation has been perceived as a process to enhance the ‘quality of life’ rather than a process of a medical curation of people with diverse disabilities. The new social-based rehabilitation approach refers community based rehabilitation strategy that aims to integrate various sectors of social life for the achievement of an effective rehabilitation while promoting inclusion of people with less or severe disabilities in social life....

This is a study on Romania’s communist imaginary, specifically about when, why and on what terms were victims rehabilitated in Romania? The process of rehabilitation of Lucrețiu Pătrășcanu is used as a case-study that allows me to describe and analyze how Romania’s Communist Party proceeded to rehabilitate few (and forget many) of those who had been imprisoned or executed after 1947. The career, trial, and rehabilitation of Pătrășcanu spans from the founding of the Party to the major shifts related to its last period, the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceaușescu. As such, the case of Pătrășcanu’s rehabilitation can be seen as the gate that opened the way for all other rehabilitations, while –at the same time- closing the door for so many others. While focusing on Pătrășcanu, I compare and contrast his trial and rehabilitation with other cases, party members or members of the anti-communist resistance, and discuss the reasons for which some were rehabilitated and others were not.
