Abstract: It reflects on the triple anchorage (constitutional, substantive criminal and procedural criminal) with a close connection between them that explains the basis of the statute of limitations in the criminal and criminal procedural law of the constitutional State of Law: the self-limitation of ius puniendi ("political" element), the lack of need for punishment ("natural" element) and due process ("artificial" element). After analysing how this legal institution behaves concerning retribution and the preventive purposes of punishment, the variables of deservedness and necessity of punishment are introduced, as well as those of the seriousness of the crime and the "fundamental right to oblivion" linked to the reasonable duration of the process as arguments in favour of its material legal nature. Key words: Statute of limitations, state self-limitation of ius puniendi, lack of necessity of punishment, due process, purposes of punishment, retribution, general prevention, special prevention, deservedness and necessity of punishment, the seriousness of the offence, fundamental right to oblivion, reasonable length of proceedings.

This research attempted to find out whether there is an effect of using mind mapping in teaching reading comprehension or not. The problem of this research is about the effect of using Mind Mapping on Reading Comprehension of the Students of Grade Eight Studentsof SMP N 3 Pematangsiantar. To solve the problem of the research, the writer used some theories that can support this research. The writer focused on the theories of.This research applied quantitative method and applied pre-test and post-test in experimental and control group. The sample of this research is the Students of Grade Eight Studentsof SMP N 3 Pematangsiantar. In this research, the writer took two classes as the sample. The classes are VIIIA(experimental group) consisting of 30 students and VIIIB (control group) consisting of 30 students. The total numbers of sample are 60 students. Based on the calculation of testing hypothesis, the researcher got the critical value of T obs is 7,47 in the degree of freedom 58. While the T table in the df at 0,05 is 2,00. So, the result showed that T obs is higher than T table (7,472,00). The result proved that there is a significant effect of mind mapping to the students" reading comprehension. From the result of analysis, the writer concluded that there was an effect of using mind mapping in teaching reading comprehension. That was why the teacher suggested touse mappingin teaching reading comprehensionin junior high school.

The purpose of this article is to throw lights on the overwriting made during the reign of Ptolemy XII in the temple of Kom-Ombo. It draws attention upon that mostly unique phenomenon and focuses on types, purpose and exact dating to that overwriting. A full documentation for the cases of modification on the columns is made by the author of the present article in Arabic: Ali Abdelhalim, ‘Overwritings in the Titles of Ptolemy XII in Kom-Ombo’, in: ACPSI: The 5th International Congress, Cairo March 2014, pp. 221-238. This article was also delivered in the 18th congress of Egyptologists in Florence (Italy) 2015

The most westerly Pacific island chain, running from Taiwan southwards through the Philippines, has long been central in debates about the origins and early migrations of Austronesian-speaking peoples from the Asian mainland into the islands of Southeast Asia and Oceania. Focusing on the Cagayan Valley of northern Luzon in the Philippines, the authors combine new and published radiocarbon dates to underpin a revised culture-historical synthesis. The results speak to the initial contacts and long-term relationships between Indigenous hunter-gatherers and immigrant Neolithic farmers, and the question of how the early speakers of Malayo-Polynesian languages spread into and through the Philippines.

Online surveys are widely used in social science research as well as in empirical studies of open, online, and distance education. However, students' responses are likely to be at odds with their actual behavior. In this context, we examined the discrepancies between self-reported use and actual use (i.e., learning analytics data) among 20,646 students in an open, online, and distance education system. The ratio of consistent responses to each of the 11 questions ranged from 43% to 70%, and the actual access to learning resources was significantly lower than self-reported use. In other words, students overreported their use of learning resources. Females were more likely to be consistent in their responses. Frequency of visits to the open, online, and distance education system, grade point average, selfreported satisfaction, and age were positively correlated with consistency; students' current semester was negatively correlated with consistency. Although consistency was not maintained between actual use and self-reported use, consistency was maintained between some of the self-report questionnaires (i.e., use vs. satisfaction). The findings suggested that system and performance data should be considered in addition to self-reported data in order to draw more robust conclusions about the accountability of open, online, and distance education systems.
