INTRODUCTION Lord of flies is a novel written by an english author William Golding. In the book Lord of the flies (1984) William Golding. The novel tells us about a group of English boys who are stuck on an island during the period of war. They discover that the island is inhabited and therefore, they attempt to create their own society in order to sort things out while waiting for rescue and the school boys changed from well behaved into savages, there are many reason for their changes like fear of beast, hunger and their young age. In this novel the writer uses many generic conventions like settings, plot, emotive language , theme ,etc to make the target audience like novel lovers, young age children , sympathetics towards the characters of the novel and to give the clear meaning of main idea of the novel. The main idea of the novel is loss of innocence. The pighunt in the book Lord of the flies shows the starting of the feeling of the boys of destruction and violence . In their uncontrollable desire to kill pigs , these nice British boys become vicious monsters. It's not about having meat to eat it's about exerting power over the helpless animal. In Chapter Four, after the first successful pig hunt, the hunters shows the hunt in a ritual dance, using Maurice as a stand-in for the doomed pig. As the boys collect impulse towards complete savagery grows stronger, the parallels between human and animal intensify. From the beginning, Golding develops Simon as a innocent boy . Simon does not say too much but when he does speak it is to reveal some sort of truth. He is aware that the irrational fear of the beast is causing the boys to act dangerously and that the only thing they should actually be fearing is themselves the boys , as they have developed the capacity to kill. when Simon runs to try and tell the boys what he knows, he saw a tribal dance, led by Jack, discussing about the killing of the beast. The boys are in fear, mistake Simon for the beast and badly murdered him with the stick sharpened at the end. The rock struck Piggy from chin to knee and the conch exploded . His head opened and stuff came out and turned red. There is arguments that Roger did not mean to kill Piggy. He wanted to kill, and was in a state of madness, so wanted to kill the enemy, Jack and Piggy. Look at Rodger's previously, he loved to throw stones and bully the little ones. and then the last they even tried to kill Jack because he was the evidence of the murder of piggy and simon. At the conclusion , william golding in Lord of the flies he wants to say that how the children turn into savagery from well behaved boys and its all because there is no adult too see them that what they are doing doing and the other reason is the jack merridew who make the children work under him and motivating them for doing thing like the pig hunting , and the crucial things like Simons death and at last the Piggys murder.
