This paper presents a scientometric analysis of the journal titled Authorship and Collaboration Pattern of Annals of Library and Information Studies Journal during 2009-2018: Scientometrics Mapping. The analysis focused on the distribution pattern of articles, author's productivity, collaboration pattern and Collaborative coefficient and citation impact over time. It showed that the highest 12.57% of articles were published in the year 2010. The majority of articles are double authored with 47.03% of the total contribution. The degree of collaboration among the authors was found 0.66, which means collaborated papers are increasing. Total 2886 citations were appended where the highest number of 704 citations was appended in the starting year 2009 having 20.71 citations per paper.

This paper discusses the importance of citation analysis techniques in the fields of library science. The literature cited in the Journal of The American Society for Information Science and Technology (JASIST) for the period of 2010 were examined and analysed to study the citation pattern in the journal during the period of study, such as various categories of information sources cited, most frequently cited information sources followed by books and conference proceedings, etc. The most frequently cited journals, authorship pattern, helf-life of journals citations. The study reveals that journal articles (54.98%) are the most frequently cited information sources followed by books and conference proceedings, etc. The most frequently cited journals are JASIST (16.88%) followed by Scientometrics (6.54%), Information Processing and Management (4.68%), Journal of Documentation (2.48%). On an average this volume has got 47.76 citations per article and half-life of the journal literature of the cited journals is found to be 7 years. The analysis of the data shows that the proportions of the collaborative publications have shown a consistent growth from single authored paper (27.93%) to double authored (26.82%) and three authored (25.14%).

The present study aims to measure the contributions of Prof. Anurag Kumar, who served as the Director at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru between August 2014 to July 2020. He has contributed 181 publications during his 36 years of career. He has published his majority of publications 171 (94.48%) in collaboration; most active collaborators with Prof. Anurag Kumar are Altman E. with (17) publications, Kuri Joy (15), Anand (14), and Singh (12). His highest Collaboration Coefficient found is 0.73 in 2013, and the highest Modified Collaboration Coefficient is 1.33 in the year 2018. The highest degree of collaboration observed for Prof. Anurag Kumar was 1.00. The highest Collaborative Index of Prof. Anurag found is 4.75 in the year 2016. His publications received 2595 citations so far, with 14.3 citations for each publication and an average citation of 72.08 per year. He has produced most of his publications in the field of computer science (45.9%). He preferred conference papers as his communic tion channel, where he published 100 (55.24%) papers out of 181. Prof. Anurag Kumar has contributed the highest (62) publication between 2005-2010, and he has published his first publication at the age of 30.

The present study based on bibliometric analysis of Journal of Medical Library Association (JMLA) from 2002-2020 indexed in Scopus database. A total number of 1356 documents were published during the nineteen years from 2002 to 2020. All publication has been examined carefully to extend the data that year wise distribution of papers and citations, volume and issue wise distribution of documents and citation, authorship pattern, Average number of citations per paper, affiliation wise distribution, most cited countries, geographical distribution, top cited documents, occurrence index keyword analysis, co-citations countries, and author productivity. The study reveals that, during these 19 years, the journal has published the total number of 1356 papers with 16465 citations. Out of 1356 contribution, only 534 were single-authored and the rest were multi-authored with a Collaboration Index of 2.39.

The study analyses the collaboration trends in the DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology for twelve years with 598 articles which have been collected from the website of the journal during the years 2006-2017. Out of 598 articles, 216 (36.12%) articles have been published by individual author and rest 382 (63.88%) articles published by two or more authors. From the study, it is clear that the collaboration trend is prominent in the journal. In the study, it has been counted that the average collaboration index was 1.93, the average degree of collaboration 0.64, the average modified collaboration coefficient 0.38, the average relative growth rate 0.29, and the average doubling time was 3.40 during 2006-2017. The highest co-authorship index has been counted in the year 2006 with six authors which are 1661.11.

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the subject areas of research in sociology. To identify the different style manual used in the theses. To know language wise, country wise and age wise distribution of the citations. To study the authorship pattern and forms of literature cited. Identified the frequently cited journals. Study finally conclude that such studies will be helpful to researcher‘s information needs and serve as feedback to the librarians in the acquisition of useful books and subscribe core journals within the budget.
