The article points out the main barriers to sustainable consumption among Slovak consumers. As environmentally positive attitudes often are not followed by environmentally friendly actions, authors try to identify why a large number of consumers do not prefer environment friendly customer behaviour – so called sustainable consumption, despite their “ECO” values and attitudes. Based on the research study carried out by authors, the article mentions three main barriers hindering Slovak consumers to act in line with their attitudes and values.
