Les statuts synodaux français du XVIIe siècle font apparaître la paroisse comme un cadre d’action prioritaire, ce qui, à ce niveau en tout cas, est pour l’essentiel sans précédent dans ce type de production règlementaire. La paroisse y apparaît comme une communauté dont la vie est structurée par des rites, au premier rang desquels figure la messe de paroisse, et c’est d’ailleurs dans le cadre rituel que s’insèrent souvent le développement de la pastorale et les réorientations dévotionnelles. L’intérêt développé par la hiérarchie ecclésiastique pour les paroisses se traduit aussi par une volonté de contrôle de la gestion des fabriques, ce qui révèle au passage une géographie sociale et politique.

S'estudia una peça pertanyent a l'antiga parròquia de Sant Cristòfol de Premià de Mar, expol·liada durant els fets de 1936. Fou recuperada l'any 2003 en el decurs d'unes obres, a prop del seu lloc original. En l'actualitat roman a la parròquia d'on fou extreta.

The two formal stages of training, the postulancy and the novitiate, prepared women for the spiritual, vocational and communal aspects of religious life. Novitiate training in church history, doctrine and theology as well as her formal vocational training indicated that the novice was meant to be an educated and effective evangeliser of her faith. Ritual was an important part of convent life, especially as women moved from lay to religious life. Ceremonies, processions and devotions were rich in symbolism and emphasised the sacredness of the life being entered into. It was through the successful negotiation of the postulancy and novitiate that Catholic women religious demonstrated their power, although paradoxically it was obedience and docility that formed the basis of this power.
