Financial support for helicopter operators to implement safety systems and equipment is essential to sustain the European Union (EU) rotorcraft community, and to prevent incidents and accidents from occurring because of a lack of the proper technologies. We delineate in our research the possibilities of obtaining funding to bring explicit benefits and give better information to European operators. This paper shows the current EU funding programmes for the aviation industry that are accessible.
