Female orgasm and female ‘peak experiences’ are well recognized in the ancient historical literature of the India, China and Far East. Eastern cultures tried to discover the limits and extents of female orgasmic response for centuries unlike the Western cultures, where, for centuries, pleasure and orgasm of females were accepted as a sin and were not regarded as acceptable as they were in the Eastern philoso-phy. Tantric cultures and Taoist cultures encouraged the prolonged sexual activity, coitus and female or-gasm for hundreds of years. However, the West started to understand the real nature of female orgasm in the second half of twentieth century using objective and rational scientific investigation methods. Similar to Tantric Orgasms, ESR (Expanded Sexual Response) has been defined recently as: being able to attain long lasting and/or prolonged and/or multiple and/or sustained orgasms and/or status orgasmus that lasted longer and more intense than the classical orgasm patterns defined in the literature. This review article explains some of the novel findings on female sexuality, ESR and prolonged-expanded orgasms, in compari-son with the old Tantric and Taoist philosophies.

Abstract: Although there are many forms of female orgasms described in the literature, there are still debates about the female orgasmic response and no unified theory to explain those orgasmic reflexes and sexual responses have been proposed. Also, there are inconsistent reports and comments about the ‘vaginal versus clitoral orgasm controversy’. Recently, a novel form of female orgasms has been coined as “Expanded Sexual Response” (ESR), and defined as: “being able to attain long lasting and/or prolonged and/or multiple and/or sustained orgasms and/or status orgasmus that lasted longer and more intense than the classical orgasm patterns defined in the literature”. Expanded orgasms induce a different state of consciousness, or “orgasmic consciousness”, whereas many forms of altered states of consciousness (ASC) can be observed. There are lots of reports, coming from the data accumulated during last decades on the female orgasm and orgasmic consciousness, which confirms the fact that “clitoral and vaginal orgasms are two separate enti-ties”, while their unification may induce a stronger and intense form of female orgasm, coined as “blended orgasm”. As we have hypothesized in our other publications, at least six orgasmic reflex pathways may take part in the development of single or multiple clitoral, vaginal, blended orgasms, and expanded, enhanced, prolonged ESR orgasms. Pudental, pelvic, hypogastric and vagus nerves play major roles in the development of single or ESR orgasms, as well as at least two oxytocin pathways may contribute to it. In blended, ESR orgasms and/or status orgasmus, more than one ‘orgasm reflex arch pathway’ may trigger the orgasm at the same time, while other pathways play a supplementary role. We have investigated the ESR phenomenon using a specific ESR-Scale in a series of surveys among ESR-women, compared to the control groups and defined the main characteristics of ESR phenomenon in the human female. ESR women seem to have higher libido, higher masturbation frequency, more erotic fantasies, stronger and more intense, prolonged orgasms or expanded orgasms (EO); while they experience multiple clitoral, vaginal and blended orgasms separately, as well as status orgasmus. Also ESR women are more aware of their bodies and their deep vaginal erogenous zones (DVZs), which com-prises inner clitoris, G-Spot, A-Spot, O-Spot, PC-Muscles and Cervix. “Four nerve-six pathway theory of female orgasm” and oxytocinergic system may seem to explain ESR phenomenon.

Summary :

We tried in this thesis to prove the previous relations between two medical laboratory tests  ( Hemoglobin and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate )  , regarding the methods of the laboratory techniques to be done and if there is and considerations to put in mind when doing these tests.
One hundred fifty sample was taken from random patients, The two tests was done for each sample using the standard method of the test, the results was statistically related with each other, as a mirror with other studies done regarding the same subjects .

Aim of the study :
Obtaining the relationship between Hemoglobin and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate as laboratory tests , and comparing the result with other previous studies.

““Pleasure principal” is one of the most important driving forces of the human psyche. Kinds of pleasure in human beings include
various satisfactions, such as food intake for the survival, satisfaction of the ego and higher cortical cognitive functions, sexual satisfaction
and orgasm, satisfaction of basic physiological needs and peak experiences, such as love, satori-like experiences, and some
mystical-like experiences. Pleasure phenomenon has some neural correlates, circuitries and neurotransmitter systems involved.
Some pleasure centers have been defined in both animals and humans, such as ventral tegmental area (VTA), nucleus accumbens
(NA), prefrontal cortex, hypothalamus, cingulate cortex, insula, while amygdala, hippocampus and some structures of the temporal
lobe may have an auxiliary role. Mainly neurotransmitters dopamine (DA) and oxytocin (OXT) are the mediators of pleasure experiences
in humans. During love, sexual pleasure and orgasm, those hedonic hot spots are activated, as also shown by fMRI techniques.
Recently it was proposed that sexual pleasure can be expanded and there were reports on expanded orgasms (EO or ESR). Also, some
researchers have reported that there are erogenous zones other than clitoris, while some non-genital orgasms have also been reported.
Pudental, pelvic, hypogastric nerves and vagus control the orgasmic reflex in females. OXT, which is also a pleasure molecule,
just like DA, also has some separate pleasure pathways. The limits and extents of female pleasure and orgasms have not been investigated
thoroughly until recently. One of the extremes of female pleasures, ESR, has some specific neurological mechanisms which
can be explained by using current data on female sexuality. There are different types of female orgasms: clitoral, vaginal, blended
orgasms, EO and status orgasmus, which are still debated in the academic circles. This review discusses the possible neurological and
neuropharmacological mechanisms of EO and ESR, using the informatics theory, as well.

In Mn3O4, the crystal structure, dislocation density, particle size and spin of the electrons plays crucial role in modulating its magnetic properties. Present study investigates impact of Biofield treatment on physical and atomic properties of Mn3O4. X-ray diffraction revealed the significant effect of biofield on lattice parameter, unit cell volume, molecular weight, crystallite sizes and densities of treated Mn3O4. XRD analysis confirmed that crystallinity was enhanced and dislocation density was effectively reduced by 80%. FTIR spectroscopic analysis revealed that Mn-O bond strength was significantly altered by biofield treatment. Electronic spin resonance analysis showed higher g-factor of electron in treated Mn3O4 as compared to control, along with altered spin-spin atomic interaction of Mn with other mixed valance states. Additionally, ESR study affirmed higher magnetization behaviour of the treated Mn3O4. The results demonstrated that treated Mn3O4 ceramic could be used as an excellent material for fabrication of novel magnetic data storage devices.

We have carried out a comprehensive ESR and U-series dating study on the Lake Mungo 3 (LM3) human skeleton. The isotopic Th/U and Pa/U ratios indicate that some minor uranium mobilization may have occurred in the past. Taking such effects into account, the best age estimate for the human skeleton is obtained through the combination of U-series and ESR analyses yielding 62,000±6000 years. This age is in close agreement with OSL age estimates on the sediment into which the skeleton was buried of 61,000±2000 years. Furthermore, we obtained a U-series age of 81,000±21,000 years for the calcitic matrix that was precipitated on the bones after burial. All age results are considerably older than the previously assumed age of LM3 and demonstrate the necessity for directly dating hominid remains. DSM Manual is globally used for the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders. In 2013 APA was about to define a new psychiatric disorder, entitled as "Hypersexual Disorder" (HD); however, many criteria defined by Martin P. Kafka for the proposal were unclear, ambiguous and questionable, which was criticized by psychiatrists and medical doctors fiercely. APA dropped the proposal. In this article, we reassess the female perspectives of the HD and question whether such a new disorder is necessary. Norms of sexual behavior changes from culture to culture; "normal" is very difficult to define in sexual research, while many aspects of female sexuality has not been unraveled yet. Great extent of research and surveys should be realized before defining "what is pathological?" and "what is hypersexual disorder?" Otherwise, healthy women can easily be misdiagnosed as HD.

To identify molecular markers indicative of response to tamoxifen and easily implemented in the routine setting, we recently reported three gene signatures that could stratify post-menopausal tamoxifen-treated, estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) patients according to outcome in the adjuvant setting. Here, we evaluated the predictive potential of the total of 14 genes included in the 3 gene signatures using 2 hormone-naïve Dutch ER+ cohorts of a total of 285 recurrent breast cancer patients treated with first-line tamoxifen. mRNA levels were measured by reverse transcriptase quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and the length of progression-free survival (PFS) was used as the primary endpoint. Based on the travaux preparatoire of the African Charter, the textual content and nature of the African Charter as a binding treaty, and the volumes of the works of African human rights scholars and jurists, I canvass the need for a more rigorous re-engagement with the processes involved in formulating instruments that may invariably become the hard letter law on the corpus of economic, social and cultural rights in Africa.

The estrogen receptor (ER) genes encode a group of nuclear enhancer proteins, which are important ligand-activated transcription factors, modulating estrogen-target gene transcription. In this study we analyzed expression patterns of three zebrafish ER genes, esr1, esr2a, and esr2b, during development using whole-mount in situ hybridization. High levels of esr2a and esr2b of maternal origin are inherited and segregated to the blastomers. After the mid-blastula transition, the three genes exhibit similar spatio-temporal patterns of expression. In 24 h postfertilization (hpf) embryos, high levels of esr2a and esr2b and low levels of esr1 mRNAs are detected in the epidermis, pectoral fin buds, hatching gland and, to a lesser extent, developing brain. From 24 hpf onward, the expression of the three genes is down-regulated in the epidermis. By 60 hpf, esr2a mRNA is abundant in mature primary neuromasts of the anterior line system and by 3 days postfertilization (dpf), all mature primary neuromasts in both the anterior and posterior lateral line systems express significant levels of esr2a and esr2b transcripts. Histological sections show a high level of esr2a transcripts in both mechanoreceptive hair cells and supporting cells. The transcripts are still detected after neomycin-induced hair cell death, consistent with the presence of esr2a transcripts in supporting cells. From 6 dpf onward, esr2a and esr2b transcripts are robustly co-expressed in primary neuromasts, branchial arches, pectoral fins, and anal papilla, while slight labeling is observed for esr1 transcripts.

This study was conducted on mice to evaluate the radioprotective role of L-carnitine against γ-ray irradiation-induced testicular damage. Adult male mice were exposed to whole body irradiation at a total dose of 1 Gy. Radiation exposure was continued 24 h a day (0.1 Gy/day) throughout the 10 days exposure period either in the absence and/or presence of L-carnitine at an i.p. dose of 10 mg/kg body weight/day. Results revealed that γ-rays irradiation suppressed the expression of ABP and CYP450SCC mRNA, whereas treatment with L-carnitine prior and throughout γ-rays irradiation exposure inhibited this suppression. Treatment with γ-ray irradiation or L-carnitine down-regulated expression of aromatase mRNA. With combined treatment, L-carnitine significantly normalized aromatase expression. γ-Ray irradiation up-regulated expression of FasL and Cyclin D2 mRNA, while L-carnitine inhibited these up-regulations. Results also showed that γ-ray-irradiation up-regulated TNF-α, IL1-β and IFN-γ mRNA expressions compared to either controls or the L-carnitine treated group. Moreover, γ-irradiation greatly reduced serum testosterone levels, while L-carnitine, either alone or in combination with irradiation, significantly increased serum testosterone levels compared to controls. In addition, γ-irradiation induced high levels of sperm abnormalities (43%) which were decreased to 12% in the presence of L-carnitine. In parallel with these findings, histological examination showed that γ-irradiation induced severe tubular degenerative changes, which were reduced by L-carnitine pre-treatment. These results clarified the immunostimulatory effects of L-carnitine and its radioprotective role against testicular injury.
