from Novi Sad, deserves re-examination through application of multiple methodology. The goal of this research is to attain a comprehensive understanding of a complex body of work of this significant artist, discover and present the problems existing in the affirmation and valorization of her social, artistic, and multimedia work, as well as point to alternative solutions, which would make her artistic work more visible on the contemporary art scene. The research deals with a review of her multimedia artistic practice - painting, action art, performances, processes, visual poetry, mail-art, artists' books,
new technologies, video-art, her engagement at "Tribina mladih" [present-
day Novi Sad Cultural Center, henceforth referred to as "Tribina mladih," transl.note], critical reviews, activities at the Novi Sad Academy of Arts, communication with artists, as well as the extent of her artwork's presence at the Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina.

Umetnička praksa Bogdanke Poznanović − slikarke, intermedijske umetnice, kritičarke
i profesorke iz Novog Sada zaslužuje novo ispitivanje kroz primenu višestruke metodologije. Cilj jeste sveobuhvatno sagledavanje kompleksnog dela ove značajne umetnice, otkrivanje i prezentovanje problema prisutnih u afirmaciji i valorizaciji njenog društvenog, umetničkog i intermedijalnog rada, kao i ukazivanje na alternativna rešenja, koja bi njen umetnički
rad učinila vidljivijim na savremenoj umetničkoj sceni. Istraživanje se
bavi sagledavanjem njene intermedijalne umetničke prakse – slikarstvo, akcije, performansi, procesi, vizuelna poezija, mejl-art, knjiga umetnika, nove tehnologije, video-art, te njenim angažmanom na Tribini mladih, kritičkim tekstovima koje je pisala, aktivnostima na Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu, komunikacijom sa umetnicima, kao i zastupljenosti njenih radova u Muzeju savremene umetnosti Vojvodine.

This paper represents an attempt at a recreation of the
construction of the Sports and Business Centre Vojvodina in Novi
Sad (SPENS), as well of its functioning and business operations
from 1979 until today. The aim of the paper is to point out all the
issues, from the time of the centrally-planned economy and the
transition to its existence in the post-socialistic society, which one
of the numerous business giants, as well as a symbol of Novi Sad
and the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina at the same time, had
to face. The transition of socialistic societies in Eastern Europe
turned out to be a very painful process, both personally and for
the whole system as well. Relatively easy transition processes existed,
which could be seen in the example of the incorporation of
Eastern Germany into the common state with Western Germany,
and the so-called ˝overnight entry into the EU˝. The events in
the post-Yugoslav area during the 1990s had a negative impact on
economic transformation. The process of privatization of stateowned
enterprises was spontaneous, without a proper plan and
program. Numerous privatizations have remained very controversial
from a legal point of view. A number of companies, which
have remained under the state control over the past years, have
proven to be unnecessary and overweight ballast for the Republic
of Serbia. SPENS represents an unresolved problem in terms of
financial and economic sustainability for the City of Novi Sad.
The analysis of the case study is related to the consideration of
the current state of this Centre, the consideration of its spatial
capacity, comparison with similar examples in the country and
the region, processing of data pertaining to business, the review
of energy capacities, and of course human resources.

Историјски приступ социолошком феномену миграција има за задатак указати на просторни и хронолошки контекст уз посебно тумачење узрока и последица ове појаве. Овај рад у право има то за циљ, да прикаже кроз историјски осврт сеобу становника Београда након пораза војске Хабсбуршке монархије од Османског царства, 21. јула 1739. године. Наиме, по поразу војске хабсбуршког цара Карла VI (1711-1740), становништво, насељавано у Београд у периоду 1718-1739. године, у потпуности се повукло узводно Дунавом до Петроварадинске тврђаве и населило леву обалу реке. На простору Петроварадинског шанца дошло је до формирања насеља, које је за мање од деценије изборило статус Слободног краљевског града од стране царице Марије Терезије (1740-1780). Приликом анализе литературе биће коришћени и историјски извори, односно први документи, који говоре о процесу елибертације и изградњи НовогСада (лат. Neoplanta, нем. Neusatz, мађ. Újvidék). Имајући у виду да, до сада, није написана свеобухватна студија која укључује сеобе становништва из Београда, насељавања дунавске обале, изградњу новог насеља и процес елибертације, овај рад ће представљати синтезу прегледа досадашњих појединачних истраживања са анализом објављених и необјављених историјских извора, који се чувају у Историјском архиву града Новог Сада и Архиву Војводине.

The historical approach to the sociological phenomenon of migration aims at pointing out the spatial and chronological context with a particular interpretation of the causes and consequences of this phenomenon. This work is intended to show through the historical review the migration of the inhabitants of Belgrade after the defeat of the Habsburg army by the Ottoman Empire on July 21, 1739. Namely, after the defeat of the army of Emperor Charles VI of Habsburg (1711-1740), the population, settled in Belgrade in the period 1718-1739, completely withdrew upstream of the Danube to the Petrovaradin Fortress and settled on the left bank of the river. In the area of ​​Petrovaradin Šanac, a settlement was formed, which in less than a decade won the status of Free Royal City by Empress Maria Theresa (1740-1780). In addition to the use of literature, the analysis will use historical sources and the first documents that testify to the process of eliberation and construction of Novi Sad (Latin Neoplanta, Ger. Neusatz, Hun. Újvidék). Bearing in mind that no comprehensive study has been written so far that includes population movements from Belgrade, settlements of the Danube coast, construction of a new settlement and the process of eliberation, this paper will be a synthesis of a review of individual studies to date with an analysis of published and unpublished historical sources stored in The Historical Archives of the City of Novi Sad and the Archives of Vojvodina.

Кафана „Бела лађа” представља, данас, један заборављени угоститељски објекат, чији зидови садрже богату двовековну историју. Налази се у Његошевој улици, на броју 7. Овај рад представља настојање аутора да помоћу историјских извора, уз додатну консултацију литературе, представи хронолошку реконструкцију места које је било „Атина” српске политичке и књижевне интелигенције Новог Сада, у другој половини XIX века. Синтеза сопственог мишљења, на основу обраде историјских извора, са досадашњим резултатима истраживања даће једну нову слику о историји овог места, пре свега узимајући у обзир поједине досадашње тврдње у вези са овим местом. Аутор ће се задржати на анализи архивске грађе која датира из XIX века.

The article is about contemporary local bars and cafes called kafana or bife, in the context of the history of cafes and cafe life in Vojvodina, including the oldest places from the 18th century as well as the 19th century Viennese coffee houses. Although contemporary kafanas have nothing in common with old, elegant cafes, nor do they resemble modern pubs, the author argues that these shabby bars, frequented by members of local community from all social groups, possess a unique genius loci and indeed continue to perform the social functions of old cafes. Kafanas of the old districts of Novi Sad (Podbara, Salajka, Rotkvarija) have remained genuine, natural, lively meeting places, where people enjoy spending time with each other, everyday rituals of drinking coffee or rakia, read newspapers and talk to their friends. Yet, the most important ritual is simply being there, sitting and sharing time with each other. It is these small pleasures that are the source of greatest joy to South European people in these unhappy times.
