International Health Research Involving Human Subjects

Ethical issues arise when powerful institutions support and promote particular perspectives, and moreover work to pass these perspectives on to larger, even global, audiences. In this case of international health research involving human subjects, issues of standard of care, global inequality, and the representation of vulnerable populations as “perfect research subjects” are explored and discussed in the context of a program, attended by the author, on International Health Research Involving Human Subjects.
