Politics/poetics of movement - Exile

This paper focuses on the last part of Luigi Peruzzi's autograph book, presenting twenty-one sonnets of 'various topic' , of which eighteen are original compositions by the author. Peruzzi's sonnets, in particular, are here examined through the lens of 'poetry as politics and memory' (a concept formerly outlined by Lauro Martines for the Renaissance poetry), thus revealing unexpected discoverings.

L'oeuvre poétique de Leonard Cohen comprend de nombreuses références à la pensée et à la tradition juives. À plusieurs égards, en effet, elle fait écho à l'exil en tant qu'"événement fondateur de la civilisation du judaïsme" (Shmuel Trigano). Dans cet article, l'auteure démontre que l'exil relève primordialement d'un rapport au temps (et non à l'espace) chez le poète. Dans le sillage des travaux de Shmuel Trigano, elle analyse deux types majeurs d'exil chez Cohen: la dispersion (par le biais de ses trajectoires montréalaises) et les constellations (par le recours à l'intertextualité biblique). Au final, elle montre que la question "Comment habiter le monde?", viscérale chez tout héritier de l'exil, donne lieu, chez Leonard Cohen, à sa poétisation dans ses écrits de jeunesse, dans certains textes de chanson et dans son aspiration à la transcendance par le biais du rapport à l'érotisme et à la spiritualité.

Following the dreamlike symbolic image of lilac plant we will retrace the exile pathway of María Zambrano from Europe to Latin America and back again through inextricable memories of historical events, personal experiences and dreams. We will examine the existential and philosophical experience of exile as death and rebirth (desnacimento). Thanks to distance and separation from motherland, Zambrano could go through the radical dereliction that brought her to the inner solitude of the self. So that she could discover the function of delirium as a salvific force: the resistance of the past overcoming the ruins of history and opening to a new future. Therefore the misfortune of exile turns into good fortune and the outcasts become, in Zambrano’s words, “the beatified persons (los bienaventurados)”.
