moreThe adjacent linguistic families, the Wakashan, Chemakuans, and Salishans (jointly referred to as the Mosan groups), are located on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State and southwestern coast of Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. This study attempts to: (1) review the work done in establishing the linguistic similarities in the Mosan groups, (2) discuss cultural comparisons of non-linguistic data using linguistically relevant data where possible, and (3) discuss linguistic and other data concerning the relationship of the adjacent Mosan groups through time and space.
