India is one of the fast developing industrialized countries. Engineering Industry is an important sector of Indian economy. It also provides job opportunities to lakhs of workers. Over the years industrial Accidents in the Engineering Industry have affected many workers and their family members, who have suffered due to injuries or loss of life of their dear ones. In In trichy were BHEL – Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited is located nearby lot of fabrication industries are placed and in operation. This paper deals with visit to small scale fabrication industries, determining the hazards, surveying past records of accident, evaluation of safety parameters at the industries, conducting survey of workmen and providing appropriate recommendations towards safety measures to minimize health hazards and safety accidents in fabrication industry.

The biggest cause of traffic accidents in Indonesia is the human factor 89.50%, where the role of humans as drivers is 82.39% and as pedestrians 7.11%, vehicle factors are 4.80% and road factors are 5.05% and environment 0.65%. The incident can cause losses, therefore comprehensive planning and handling are needed. This study aims to identify or know the factors that cause accidents. Knowing what problems occur on Jalan Lintas Pekanbaru-Kuansing Km.70-71. Knowing the handling efforts that can be done to overcome the problems that occur. Data collection used observation, primary data includes Spot Speed, Road Safety Audit (AKJ), Helmet and Seat Belt Users. Secondary data includes Inventory Data and Traffic Accident Data for the Last 5 Years. The results of the research obtained are that in the last four years (2017-2020) for the type or type of collision, the most accidents that occurred were in 2020 with the type of front-front collision (D-D). Judging from the micro analysis in the traffic accident data, it can be concluded that the vehicles involved in the first rank accident were occupied by motorbikes as many as 454 vehicles involved. Lacking and the condition of some of the markers that are still found to have faded and the markers that have not been followed up.
