This paper develops a flexible methodology to analyze the effectiveness of different variables on various dependent variables which all are times series and especially shows how to use a time series regression on one of the most important and primary index (page views per visit) on Google analytic and in conjunction it shows how to use the most suitable data to gain a more accurate result.
Search engine visitors have a variety of impact on page views which cannot be described by single regression. On one hand referral visitors are well-fitted on linear regression with low impact. On the other hand, direct visitors made a huge impact on page views. The higher connection speed does not simply imply higher impact on page views and the content of web page and the territory of visitors can help connection speed to describe user behavior. Returning visitors have some similarities with direct visitors.

Este trabalho procura responder a uma questão que tem vindo a ganhar importância no cenário online: em que medida a audiência influencia as decisões editoriais numa organização jornalística. Para responder à questão, o trabalho começa por introduzir o conceito de métricas. Segue- -se a revisão bibliográfica que aborda os processos de gatekeeping e gatewatching, aprofundando seguidamente questões relacionadas com a mensurabilidade da audiência no jornalismo Web. A parte empírica do trabalho é constituída pela análise das entrevistas realizadas a jornalistas de cinco organizações jornalísticas de Portugal e do Brasil. As conclusões indicam que as opções editoriais nas publicações online resultam de um processo em que a cultura profissional e as preferências do público (expressas em métricas de interpretação) são usadas de forma equilibrada.

Website usability and the use of website metrics are both methods which could be used to indicate popularity and/or success of a website. For commercial websites, being successful in terms of listing on search engine result pages is of paramount importance. Prior research on website usability has indicated that a number of elements can be used to make up usability from the user's point of view. At the same time, programs that provide website metrics are freely available, and their output give many indications of website activity and performance. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method of determining whether or not there is a link between the results of measuring usability, as opposed to website metrics.
