Wireless networks of sensors are likely to be widely deployed in the future because they greatly extend our ability to monitor and control the physical environment from remote locations. A Cluster based routing protocols like LEACH were found best suited for routing in wireless sensor networks. The basic LEACH protocol is improved in the Enhance Efficiency scenario by ensuring whether a sensor node is able to communicate with its cluster head. This paper presents a new Enhanced of LEACH protocol called E-LEACH which targets to reduce energy consumption within the wireless sensor networks. We have tried to evaluate both LEACH and E-LEACH protocol in this paper.
