Sometimes without previous deal to sawmills are delivered logs which do not fit regulations for standard saw logs. In relation of applied standard main selection of saw logs is done based on logs diameter, quality and plan of use. Today primary sawing of logs was performed mostly often by using live sawing technique on long band saw, than cant and round way of sawing. Quantitative yield is a very important indicator of sawmill processing success, but the objective assessment of the effects of production is often made by the value yield. Today on sawmills first and mostly often are produced higher quality sawn boards (half-edged, un-edgled and edged). Parallel with them, sawn boards with some lower quality are produced. In secondary sawmiling, most often products are elements for flooring components.
