Dividing endlessy a specific minor 9th interval by a golden proportion (in terms of logarithmic interval dimensions) leads to "golden" intervals of minor 6th, 4th, minor 3rd, whole tone, and a semitone one octave lower. This is the genesis of a specific "Golden" meantone tuning based on fractal proportions between all its intervals. This generates an infinite spiral displaying balanced divisions of the octave in a sequence of 5 - 7 - 12 - 19 - 31 - 50 - etc. tones per octave, which are in fact the meantone octave divisions most used in all times. When Jacques Dudon wrote this article, neither him nor the editor knew that Thorvald Kornerup already mentionned this scale years before. However J.Dudon's article shows new lights on this very special and musical tuning, that led him afterwards to find similar fractal meta-versions of various temperaments.
