Selecting bathroom privacy info

When it comes to bathrooms, guests expect the privacy of an interior lock or latch. But it is helpful if your Room listing clearly states whether the bathroom is shared, dedicated, or private and attached. Guests can filter for private and attached bathrooms when searching for a Room.

How bathroom privacy is defined

Private and attached: The bathroom is for exclusive use by the guest. It is accessed directly via the bedroom (e.g. an en-suite bathroom).

Dedicated: The bathroom is for exclusive use by the guest, but it is accessed via a shared space, such as a hallway or living room.

Shared: The bathroom may be shared with other occupants of the house, for example, the Host or other guests.

Updating privacy info for your Room listing

You can add privacy info to any room or space.

Update listing privacy info on desktop

  2. Under Listing editor, click Your space
  3. Click Photo tour and then click the room you want to edit
  4. Click Privacy info and make your selections
  5. Click Save and then click Done

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your bathroom privacy setting to show on your listing page or for private attached bathrooms to reflect in the search filter.
