Turn on notifications for host and guest messages
Responding to messages in a timely manner is a great way to build rapport between hosts and guests. It’s easy to set up your preferences so that you receive email, browser, and/or SMS (text) notifications when a host or guest sends you a message.
Enable message notifications
Set up your notifications so you know when a host or guest messages you.
Turn on notifications on desktop
- Click Profile > Account > Notifications
- Click Account
- Under Guest and Host messages, click Edit
- Enable Email, SMS and/or Browser notifications
Turn on notifications in the Airbnb app
- Tap Menu
- Under Account, tap Settings
- Tap Notification settings
- Tap Account
- Under Guest and host messages, tap Edit
- Enable Email, Push and/or SMS notifications
Turn on notifications in the Airbnb app
- Tap Menu
- Under Account, tap Settings
- Tap Notification settings
- Tap Account
- Under Guest and host messages, tap Edit
- Enable Email, Push and/or SMS notifications
Turn on notifications on mobile browser
