There are two things that aren't really a complaint. I saw in the other reviews that there wasn't a hole drilled in the exact center of the top rail. While this is true, what I have done is use a small C-Clamp instead of the bolt and wing nut provided. I just clamped from the top of the hanger to the bottom of the top rail. It doesn't take much tightening to hold the hanger securely. Two things here, the clamp allows me to put the camera hanger in any position on the top rail, easily and quickly. The second, having to remove the wing nut, pull the bolt and reposition the hanger and reinstall the bolt and nut is tedious and time consuming. The other issue is the hanger for the camera. Because of the foam gripping pad, the weight of the camera and lens, caused the camera to tilt and not point straight up and down. It is only a slight tilt and nothing that can't be compensated for. It is quit sturdy and does not move or jiggle as long as the clamps are tightened on the side legs where the height is adjusted. I am happy with my purchase and plan on a lot of use for this. The two observations that I have mentioned here are miniscule and I am giving it 5 stars. I would recommend this.

I create content for a board game channel on YouTube called AshQuest and this is now my every-video camera mounting solution.

this stand is huge, absolutely stable and ready for whatever you want to clamp onto it. I was eyeballing this and one other stand and went with this after comparing the size and everything else I could.

There are only two cons I can think of with this one:
one, the entire frame has to be adjusted and messed with if you need to adjust the height, instead of simply moving the top crossbar (which is how the other product I looked at works). That's a bit awkward. But if you use it for overhead video, you can just attach your camera to something else that allows you to adjust height - look a gooseneck mount - and then attack that to this.

two, by the same token, it is cumbersome to take apart for storage (though once it is apart you can store it flat somewhere, like behind your door or under your bed, easily). I leave this set up and leave it alone.

if you're handy you can also modify it to have more holes and go wild attaching things. camera, lights, microphone, whatever you like. I bought led bar lights that stick on and this frame accommodates their size because it's huge.

either way this works great and actually my camera is so wide-angled that I don't even need to raise it up high, so there's plenty of use cases I can use this for as I grow my content later. Awesome tool Neewer.

This Neewer Overhead Camera Mount Rig is exactly what I was looking and offers solid value for the price. If you are looking for something that breaks down quickly when not in use, this may not be the ideal choice for you if you are tight on space. In the case that you don’t need to break it down often or you have a dedicated space, you will like it. Just to be clear, if it needs to be disassembled, it won't be hard. When it is assembled, it is sturdy, but not too heavy. So far it has easily handled small to large mirrorless cameras with small prime to heavy telephoto lenses without buckling. I have left a camera rig attached overnight before recording and it held up just fine.

In the box you receive the crossbar(the top), the rods (or legs), clips for a potential backdrop, frames (for a backdrop), and the needed screws that go the frames and the main mounting portion for your camera. Installation was easy and adjustments can be made without much fuss. Overall I like the build quality and consistency from Neewer products.

Assembly was easy-peasy, and everything fit together well. However, there was ONE BIG FLAW. The holes drilled at the top of the crossbar do not allow me to center the bracket that holds my camera. There are 12 holes drilled into the crossbar, and the spacing is such that the bracket is off-center. I'm now forced to either drill another hole, or simply move my subject so that it is properly centered. I can't believe nobody tested this before drilling the holes in the crossbar at the factory.

When this arrived at my doorstep, it left me wondering what the heck I ordered when I saw it on the security cam leaned against my porch rails standing tall. I thought my husband ordered a new baby mattress but of course after unpacking you end up pulling out something a little bigger than your biggest baby gate. It came mostly assembled and is super sturdy. I suppose it better be for the cost of it. It's very simple to use and set up especially since it has the spring loaded buttons on the sides to switch heights. Right now it's being used on the desk as a way to mount the video camera mic and ring lights for work. I like that it can be used in various ways between products shots, backdrops, or in our case work divider.

I was initially surprised to see how sturdy this is. One slight downside to it is that it’s big and awkward for storing. But I now keep it in the garage when not using it. It’s great for top-down photography or videography. I’ve you’re a content creator, this will allow you to make videos for cooking, crafting, etc while keeping your hands free for the task. For photography this is good for top-down macro photography or duplication of documents, photos, etc.
