Each applicant to CSULB is considered with great care. We consider each applicant to CSULB as a whole person, and put enormous care into evaluating every application.
Students who are, or soon will be, high school graduates and have never attended a college or university since high school.
Students that have completed coursework at a college or university since leaving high school, but have not yet completed a bachelor’s degree.
Students that hold a bachelor’s degree and wish to continue their education for personal enrichment or to meet professional needs by pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree.
Students that hold a bachelor’s degree and wish to continue their education for personal enrichment or to meet professional needs by pursuing a credential, post-baccalaureate certificate, or second bachelor’s degree.
CSULB offers a vibrant, diverse environment for international students. Explore all the options for students joining us from outside of the United States.
CSULB offers additional programs for those interested in extended education opportunities through the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPaCE)--this includes special degree programs, certificate programs, lifestyle courses, and more. There is a different fee structure for CPaCE programs and typically these courses are not eligible for financial aid as they are not state-supported. Prospective students do not need to complete a Cal State Apply application for these programs.

Annual Security Report (ASR): Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the updated Annual Security Report (ASR) is now available for viewing. The ASR contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and Sexual Assault prevention information, and information about drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery crimes for CSULB for this calendar year, based on the preceding three years.
Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR): Pursuant to Higher Education Opportunity Act, the Annual Fire Safety (ASFR) is now available for view at: csulb.edu/afsreport. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within CSULB’s housing facilities for this current year and two calendar years prior. The report also distributes fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus.
