how do i configure apache and php

What version of Apache
What version of PHP
What have you done so far
Did you download the binaries or the source?

i have got apache 1.3.x and php5 with windowsxp

i have a local system and no network.

What should i give for domain ,server name and all those things is it "localhost"

For local machine u can give ip address of ur machine or 'localhost' as server name or domain name
