...And sometimes a little more. My daughters love these on their Dell UltraSharp monitors. The sound is not tinny and that surprised me somewhat as usually small speakers tend to have that effect. These speaker bars snap onto higher end Dell monitors in seconds giving your desk a clean and uncluttered look. No more fussing over adapters and placement of left and right speakers and wires etc. No muss, no fuss. Well, in my case there was a little muss. One of the speakers was considerably dented and it looked as though the front grill was wearing someone's lunch from yesteryear. Xtra sauce with that, sir? No worries, it was functional. This is of what comes from buying second hand items from time-to-time. The products are as advertised. My girls are happy. Great space savers these. Hold the sauce! :)Read full review

The sound bar fits perfectly into my Dell U3011 which powers it with a dedicated power outlet, but a number of issues had me deciding to not use it. There is a good bit of white noise when the speaker is powered on and idle that is just unbearable to put up with. I've read using dummy headphone plugs into the jacks on the side of the soundbar may resolve this issue, but I don't have any to test with. My monitor already has its own noise whenever the brightness is under 90 so the speaker noise could be related to my monitor's power supply. The white power led runs down the middle of the soundbar and was bright enough to be distracting. I was hoping it would be blue like the example documented in the U3011's owner manual, but I guess they changed the color in later revisions as the sound bar is 2 years younger than my monitor. The sound quality is ok and I didn't expect anything amazing as my main goal was to save some space on my desk.Read full review

Works best with the UltraSharp DELL monitors (that have power supply output for the sound bar and the mount clips on the back), but keep in mind that you can't use newer headsets with combined headphone / microphone 3.5mm jack (which has four sections as opposed to just three, as in a regular stereo plug) in the outputs on the left-hand side because that newer plug seems to shorten inside, and produces almost no sound in the headphones. Regular headphones with the classic stereo jack work fine. The sound quality is very good, and the best part is that the soundbar goes to sleep as the monitor does, so it doesn't drain power aimlessly! I had to cover the power light in the middle of the grill with a piece of black electric tape because when the soundbar is on, that light seems to shine directly into your eyes and is very distracting (who would have thought of such a design blunder?)Read full review

This is a good, basic speaker which will far outperform your internal laptop or PC speaker. It is not a full range, deep bass, high quality sound system. It is great for simple computer audio, webinars, basic music, and more. It will not rock your world or even fill your whole room with sound. Make sure you get the power supply to go with it. It will sit nicely under most LCD monitors and doesn't have to clip on the back of a Dell monitor to work or look decent.

Very impressed with the sound from these small speakers. Like everyone says, they won't shatter your ear drums or piss-off the neighbors but effectively deliver a decent sound. The only "hum" experienced is when they're plugged into outlet adapter and the computer is turned off. In that case just turn the soundbar power off. Not a problem. Very satisfied with this item and the price. In fact, I have two of them.
