My favourite track from Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' is 'Get Lucky.' As a matter of fact, i have always felt that 'Get Lucky' was THE summertime hit of 2013. There is absolutely no doubt that 'Get Lucky' was a bigger international hit of that year, as opposed to 'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke.

I was just SO disappointed with this. I had gotten it for Get Lucky & Lose Yourself to Dance, and yes, there they are, and nice to have them...but the rest of the CD is so lame, and almost stupid. No cool melodies, lyrics are all blurred out or recognition by the vocoders or whatever... Gave it a first listen, and just could not believe it was so useless. Gave it a second listen (to be fair) and it sounded even worse. Get Lucky and Lose Yourself are great; the rest are awful.

Being a fan of Daft Punk's works in the past, it is only logical that I should feel the need to own this album. I kept very high expectations for it all the way up until I was holding the neatly wrapped plastic CD case in my hands. With all the patience that I could muster, which was not much, I gently obliterated the plastic wrapping and immediately began to play the CD on my laptop. Throughout the first listening I could see this was a different style than usual from the dynamic duo and I must admit I was utterly disappointed not to hear the technological magic of old. However listening through the second time, and every one of the thousand after that, it became clear that this newest installment in the DP Legacy is the best yet. Of course any die hard "Discovery" aficionado will plead other wise, but the musicianship and use of past and present artists to create a sound that exists neither in the past or the future is genius to say the least. If you are new to Daft Punk and are only interested in "Get Lucky" beware of the deeper meanings in all the album has to offer. If you are willing to give it a shot, chances are you will love this CD by the end of the first half. However if you understand the evolution that this pair's music is constantly experiencing, and love every second, this is a must buy.Read full review
I bought this CD with the understanding it was the Japanese release with the bonus track. However, it is the standard release CD, meaning it is no different from what you could buy in the USA.
