Both a remarkable concert performance from London and an astonishing record that is more timeless than anything else that Madonna has produced. This is truly an amazing addition to anybody’s collection of music. It shows an endless side of human compassion and love mixed with the hope of a future of love and divinity. A masterpiece from a music icon.

This Set comes with a audio cd and dvd. The audio cd is great. It includes all of the songs from the tour. The dvd on the other hand has a reign code that dosent play in standard us dvd players, this is a problem. The dvd is coded for foreign countries. I was able to finally get the dvd to play on my laptop but it was constantly buffering and pausing.

This show is amazing, pure and simple. This show has caused me to fall in love with the song “Like A Virgin.” I actually think she sings it better now that she’s older. And how about Erotica? Whew, that was HOT. The only criticism that I could possibly give Madonna is not including all of the songs featured in her album, namely “Push,” and “Fighting Spirit.” I just love these songs. I would have much rather have seen these songs instead of “Future Lovers,” but that’s just me. It is a sin to have not released “Ray of Light,"Forbidden Love," and "Get Together” on the CD, as they were such wonderful performances. Also, I was slightly diappointed in her performance of “Sorry." If you look closely on the DVD, she is clearly off on her choreography. She also sounds kind of nasally. It was the same case with “Lucky Star." I still LOVE both of these songs, however. My final message is this: this is a must have for ANY Madonna fan! I urge everyone to buy it. It’s well worth the price. Trust me!Read full review
For anyone out there saying that Madonna is over needs to watch this amazing concert. Madonna was 48 when this was filmed and her body is in amazing shape and her voice sounds better than ever (and yes she IS singing live). I saw this show 4 times in Chicago and I was wondering how they were going to capture that whole essence of her performance because visually there was so much going on but this DVD captures everything. From the opening notes of Future Lovers and to the last notes of Hung Up, Madonna will take you on a journey that will blow your mind. The fact that NBC cut out the scenes of Madonna on the cross during "Live To Tell" just shows that they didn't get it, there is a whole message there, that was positive, but all they saw was her on the cross. Madonna always has a message and it is always a positive one. This tour consists of the majority of her amazing CD "Confessions on a Dance Floor" but she throws in many oldies but goodies like, Lucky Star, Like a Virgin, Live to Tell, Music, Erotica and Bedtime Story. The only way to experience a Madonna concert is to see it in person, but this is the next best thing. Hopefully her record company will release her Blond Ambiton and ReInvention Tours on DVD in the near future as those were her best 2 tours, but this tour is right up there with both of those. Do yourself a favor and get this DVD which also comes with a bonus CD with a selection of live tracks from the show.Read full review
I saw Madonna's Confessions Tour concert live in Boston on July 6th, 2006. This DVD was a great representation of the concert experience I saw first-hand. It highlights a lot more of the Material Girl than what I was even able to see live. There were so many things going on all over the stage at any given moment and this DVD allows me to see some things I missed at the concert I attended. The DVD is absolutely worth the purchase price. The CD, on the other hand, was somewhat lacking. Yes, it had the more famous songs on there, but it was missing other songs that I liked, such as Forbidden Love. Otherwise it was quite good. I think they could have had all the songs on the CD, perhaps in a two-CD format. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes Madonna, especially her Confessions on a Dancefloor album. I will admit, I was not a big Madonna fan until her confessions CD came out.Read full review
