Pulling on my favourite leather trousers, I checked my reflection in the mirror. Not bad for a mum of four, I thought.
It was 17 November 2018, and I was ready for a rare Saturday night out.
I couldn’t wait to dance the night away with my pals to celebrate my cousin’s birthday.
‘Thanks for babysitting,’ I said, hugging my sister, Jennifer, then 44, goodbye.
