Brushing aside cobwebs, I cautiously poked my head up into the attic. At 12 years old I wasn’t scared of spiders – I just wanted to explore.
‘What’s this?’ I muttered to myself, stumbling across a box full of books.
They were labelled for the jumble sale – but one in particular caught my attention. It was a huge black hardback called Cult and Occult.
Turning the pages, my eyes widened at the descriptions of casting spells, and all the different ceremonies that marked the passing of the seasons.
