My Lines! My Lines!
In 1962 at Northwestern High School, the senior class put on the play Annie Get Your Gun. I dreaded the idea of being in a play; however, it was not my decision. Everyone in the class would have a part.
When casting day came, I literally sank to the back of the room to hide in the shadows. With a big sigh of relief, I watched as more popular and confident girls stepped up and tried out for Annie. Whew.
One of the last parts was just called Little Girl, and the , making come out . I worked very hard to remind myself to put the first.
