Thank you, the pleasure is mine! I was born in Sherman Oaks, California and then raised in Joshua Tree which is extremely remote. In fact, completely off the grid. Solar power, generators, gravity-fed water that we hauled in ourselves. By the time I was going into grade school, my parents decided to move to Ojai, California where there was a much better education. A few short years later my journey began after my father passed away. My mother enrolled me in an American Kenpo karate class that laid the foundation for my bodybuilding career. It taught me all the fundamentals that played such an important factor in weight training and sculpting my body: discipline, integrity, perseverance, motivation, and a strong work ethic to make it all last. As a boy lacking a mentor, I had many crippling insecurities… I was skinny, I had long hair, I was picked on a lot. At 5’10” and 57kgs I was as self-conscious and low-esteem as it gets.
