About this audiobook
Between harvesting, keeping tabs on her younger siblings, and watching her parents’ marriage crumble, Corrie leans on Aaron for emotional support. Wading through jealousy was never on Corrie’s to-do list, but as she navigates the choppy waters, she finds herself falling for Aaron’s good looks and charming wit.
Just when Corrie thinks she has everything under control, a stranger seeking shelter comes to the farm, and an old nemesis returns for revenge. As destructive forces align against her, Corrie must decide which man’s love will bring her back to life and restore her faith in herself, her family, and her purpose.
Jessica Berg
Jessica Berg, a child of the Dakotas and the prairie, grew up amongst hard-working men and women and learned at an early age to “put some effort into it.” Following that wise adage, she has put effort into teaching high school English for over a decade, being a mother to four children (she finds herself surprised at this number, too), basking in the love of her husband of more than fifteen years and losing herself in the imaginary worlds she creates.

Last but not at all least, the narrator did a fab job! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wonderful heartwarming story with a great narrator.
This is a heartwarming story about family and community. Overcoming heartache, loss, and wrong assumptions, and the grace to forgive. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Although somewhat unrealistic at times, this book was also somehow very relatable. I truly fell in love with the characters, the farm, and their little town. The ending is satisfying, and there’s no lack of drama!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is such a sweet story, it flows so easily and the characters are great. I even loved the fact that there was a mention of God, normally I prefer religion to not be mentioned, but this almost had a moral right, and it felt right.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I used to have a serious addiction to Harlequin and Silhouette junky romance books. It must have influenced me to request Amber Waves of Grace by Jessica Berg. sigh-- I gave the book a fair chance, but it did not delight or satisfy my previous habitThe book is set in a single South Dakota harvest season which seems an unrealistic time period for all the events to unfold. The history between heroine Corrie and current pastor Luke complicates her budding romance with Luke's older brother Aaron. There's a lot on Corrie as she tries to keep the family farm while her father --who has sustained a traumatic brain injury-- and mother struggle with their relationship. A pregnant single girl shows up, stranded by car accident, and is taken in by Corrie's family. Then there's the requisite vindictive former farm hand who apparently "has it out for" Corrie. There were a few more phrases that didn't quite sound right too. Made me wonder if there are more differences between the Great Lakes language group I grew up in and South Dakota's midwestern word choice. It's also odd that sensual thoughts always seem to make Aaron feel "itchy". Other than those little things that prickled my fancy, the book felt authentic and colorful. Seems the author is well acquainted with the workings of combines and such farm equipment. All in all, it's a good bit of escapist romance reading.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5In Amber Waves of Grace, Corrie Lancaster has returned home to run her family’s farm after her father was injured in an accident, leaving him unable to run it. Under much pressure to keep the farm running and her family supported, Corrie finds help in Aaron Tuttle, a neighbor and the older brother of her high school boyfriend, Luke. As they work together to harvest the fields, feelings start to develop for both, but Corrie believes that Aaron will never be able to overlook the mistakes of her past, and Aaron believes that he is too much older than Corrie for her to be interested in him. As the two work together and their relationship continues to deepen, things start happening on the farm that both threaten Corrie’s family and lead Corrie to believe that she may not be strong enough to carry the burden of running the farm. Can Corrie and Aaron find out who is behind the threats and stop him before the Lancasters lose everything? And will Corrie and Aaron be able to overcome their fears and admit their feelings?I really loved Amber Waves of Grace. Corrie was so easy to like and relate to, because she was flawed and real. She feared rejection because of past mistakes, and I think a lot of people can identify with that fear. She was emotional and sometimes dorky. Aaron was also a very well written character. He was emotional, too, but he tried to keep it in, as guys do. He was thoroughly confused by Corrie’s emotions, and at times was ready to give up, except that he knew deep down that he would do anything for her. The story itself was exciting, and moved along at a good pace. I don’t typically re-read books, but this is one I will go back and read again.*I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amber Waves of Grace will lift your spirits. Sometimes life sends you curve balls, and Corrie finds herself fielding more than one. Her strength and faith are inspiring, and ultimately it's up to her to find the answers within herself. A truly enjoyable read that will have your heart in your throat at times and have you melting with joy at others.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Title: Amber Waves of GraceAuthor: Jessica BergPublisher: Red Adept Publishing, LLC Reviewed By: Arlena DeanRating: FourReview:"Amber Waves of Grace" by Jessica BergMy Speculation: A beautiful story of one powerful and inspirational read that will keep you turning the pages to see how it will all go down for Corrie Lancaster. When it seems like all is going against her help from her old boyfriend's brother, but at the same time, it looks like there will be problems with her ex-flame as it seems like he wants to rekindle their romance. With it seeming like all is on Corrie from 'harvesting, keeping tabs on her younger siblings, seeing her parents' marriage crumble, who will be there for her emotional support?' And then what will happen when another person arrives at their farm that needs help and an 'old nemesis returns for revenge?' What a story this will be as this author delivers quite a well-written script to the reader where Corrie will have a lot of decisions to make as to 'bring her back to life and restore her faith in herself, her family, and her life's purpose.'Thank you to the author for the read of your novel and my giving an honest opinion of the read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Amber Waves of Grace by Jessica Berg is a very readable book. The heroine Corrie, a South Dakota farm girl, is called home from a big city reporter job to manage the family farm after her father’s truck accident that leaves him alive but not himself. With her mother, younger brother & sister & a threatening handyman who quits, Corrie hires her ex-boyfriend’s older brother Aaron to help her in the fields. Her ex-boyfriend Luke is the family pastor & would like to pick up where they left off so there is rivalry between the two brothers. When a young, pregnant Violet arrives, running from something, the problems multiply.I think the book is probably overwritten. There are too many descriptive modifiers & there are more problems than one book should have to deal with. I liked the fact that the characters had faith but Corrie’s need to control kept overwhelming it. I read it very quickly, interested in how it would all work out & all the problems we’re solved.
