About this audiobook
At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. Some reviewers loved the book, praising the banter, character development, and emotional depth. They found it to be a great read with a cute love story and a happy ending. However, there were negative reviews as well, criticizing the characters as whiny and annoying, and the plot as cheesy and corny. Some readers also found the book slow and boring. Overall, the book has its flaws but still manages to entertain and engage readers.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5loved the inclusion of the soundtrack. It definitely kept me immersed in the book.
I don’t generally enjoy love triangles that involve cheating. My ex cheated on me (a lot) and I feel like I’m more sensitive that plot line as a result. But I can appreciate the way Hoover handled this one. The characters admitted that there were a lot of things they should have done differently, but I think they acted the way that everyday people would act.
The thing that bothered me most about the whole plot line was how often Sydney punched people. It was funny the first time, but completely out of character the rest of the time.
I saw a review mentioning transphobic language… there are two usages of “transvestite”, specifically relating to a man dressing in women’s clothing. I don’t know how using a word in its literal meaning is “phobic”, but if that triggers you, now you know going in.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Colleen Hoover takes my heart to the brink and puts it all back together within the course of her stories. Maybe Someday is a fabulous romance that tackles some tough issues faced in love. Zachary Webber is among my favorite male narrators and really brings Ridge to life! Angela Goethals is great as Sidney, too. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'm always nervous to start a new Colleen Hoover book bc HOW can she top the last book that I read... I fall in love with each character in each of her books it hard to "move on." But yet again, these characters still my heart. I'm such a sucker for love. Colleen is a genius. ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5At first I wasn't sure I would like this book. But I am so happy that I gave it a chance. This is an great book and worth the read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I felt like this was a little reminiscent of the slammed series. Which I lover. Love the characters and her having deaf characters. Good read!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was a love story, but a different kind of love story. Something you feel with your heart and soul , with no words needed…..
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the different points of view. The entire story was full of emotions and that kept me interested.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love it! It got me caught since the beginning, I could stop listening to it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was one of the most well written, romcoms books I’ve ever read! I am so surprised at how well fought out the plot and how amazing the characters were. I can’t recommend this book enough. It was so good. It was the first book I read by this author and I’m hoping that her books are just as good.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am crying. This was such an incredible story, my heart literally can’t take it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. Kept me wondering what as going to happen next. Definitely a good book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love that the character was deaf. I end liking all the characters in the book even the bitchy one lol
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It’s very well narrated, as are all her books. This novel is very long because it’s heavily descriptive. It’s redundant a lot of times.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A hell of a ride here. I’ve read this book so many times and listening to it was just wow. My first experience with an audiobook (that a finished) and well I’m in love.
The only sad thing was that instead of just playing the song, they read the lyrics to it. I was expecting the music but it was incredible no matter what.
It’s Colleen Hoover, after all. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5From start to finish this book was great. I love that you didn't have to read numerous chapters to get into it and it started off strong from the first few words.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was good, it was just not my favorite CoHo book, got a little bored. I’ll continue to read the series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really enjoyed this book, I loved the banter and characters. Loved the development of Ridge and how he worked through his situation!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely loved this!! So much feeling and it is so deep, loved it from the beginning!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Does not disappoint. I love it oh so much. Will definitely read this again.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A little to slow and boring but cute and funny
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Hands down favorite I am a fan of this book . This is a wonderful store!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Character emotions were over done-if the book had been only 18 chapters I’d have given it 5 stars
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was such a wonderful read… the intimacy shared by Sydney and Ridge was more than physical - it was built on transparency and trust. I also loved the idea that he was a brilliant musician and she was a songstress. I highly recommend it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Maybe someday is one of my favorite books of colleen Hoover by far. An amazing story, with so much detail, background and im over here wishing I could just be a part in the book
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Completely unrealistic and unsufferable main character. Couldn't even get an hour in.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story was good - I think what turned me off a little was the dramatic way Angela Goethals narrated. It was like she thought she was reading Shakespeare or something - way over the top. When she did relax from time to time she it was much more enjoyable.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Not her best book . Didn’t care for the toxicity
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another great book by Colleen Hoover. There are moments that will have you laughing, crying, taken by surprise, even annoyed lol ... but overall it was a great read and a cute love story!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book was not my favorite Colleen Hoover book. As far as romance goes this one seemed juvenile and the characters a bit dramatic. I listened to the Audio book and the readers may have made it feel this way for me.
