About this audiobook

"If you are looking for a psychological thriller that will disturb you and is full of pretty twisted OMFG moments, grab yourself a copy!" Noelle Holton, Crime Book Junkie
The most dangerous place is inside your own head…
Dr Samantha Willerby, a specialist in Post Traumatic Stress, has never seen anything like this before. Following a fire on the London Underground, three survivors seek her help but although unmistakably traumatised, their stories don’t match the facts. Are they ‘faking it’? Sam’s confusion turns to horror when one by one, instead of recovering, they are driven to suicide.
When her lover, Conrad, begins to suffer the same terrifying flashbacks, Sam is desperate to find out what’s causing them. As a mysterious and chilling conspiracy begins to unravel the nightmares begin for Sam…

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be an enjoyable read with an intriguing concept. Although some parts of the story and relationships felt mismatched with the main character, it did not detract from the overall enjoyment. The book is recommended to those who like unconventional mysteries. The narrator and the fade memories element were not fully convincing, but it was still an okay read. The readers anticipate the development of the main character in the next book of the series.

It had a bit too much going on in it and not sure I fully buy the whole fade memories thing but it was ok. Enjoyable read

Not great. The characters were annoying and the story was a bit boring. AJ Waines other books are much better. I wasn’t a fan of the narrator either.

It was okay. I liked the characters fine, but there was nothing amazing or unique about them. The plot was fine, but a bit disappointing that it seemed so unrealistic. Seemed like it bordered on science fiction, which is not what I like. I like mysteries that seem like they could happen in real life. I would read more of the series if it was available for free and I couldn't find anything better, but I wouldn't specifically search out this series to see what happens next.

I did enjoy this book & would recommend it to people who like unconventional mysteries; but there were some parts of the story & some relationships that felt a bit mismatched with the main character... Although it could be deliberate, I felt it slowed the story down at some parts.
The concept was intriguing & I enjoyed the overall story, despite anticipating where it was going.
I do plan to read the next book in the series and see how the main character develops.
