His articles about Michigan�s aircraft manufacturers and the airplanes they built have appeared in numerous aviation publications. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and holds ASEL airplane and glider ratings. His career as an engine designer began in 1943 with Mack Trucks, and he later worked with Chrysler Corporation and Williams International before retiring in 1993.view less
